This document should hopefully tell you all you need to know about posting pictures, signatures etc on both BC bulletin boards and SN Groups. If anything has been left out, you're totally confused, or you have any questions, feel free to post a thread in the group and hopefully we'll (the group admins) be able to help!  If you think of anything extra that should be included, please let one of the group admins know and they will try to add it ASAP.

To Create a private Photobucket Account

Go to Photobucket and create yourself an account by registering/signing up to the website.

Go to "Account Options"

Then "Edit my Album Settings"

Change "Public" to "Private" and UN-tick the box next to "link back to album".

Save the changes.

Adding Photos to Posts on BC

In your photobucket account, click "Browse" and find the photo(s) you want to add to your post.  The files will be automatically uploaded to your PB album.

Keeping the PB Window/Tab open, come onto BC and write your post.

FOR SN GROUPS: to insert your image, go to the photo in your PB account and click once on the DIRECT LINK code (it should flash up with "copied"). Come onto your post on BC and right click in the comment box where you want your photo adding.  Choose "Insert/Edit Image".  A pop-up box will appear. Paste the Direct Link code into the URL box and give your photo a name in the next box. You can leave the other boxes blank unless you know how big you want the photo to be. Click "Insert".  You may well need to click on the photo and resize it so that it fits into the message window.

Press "Add Comment" and you're done!

Creating a Ticker

Go to a ticker creating site, such as lilypie and create your ticker.

Once you have created your ticker, lots of codes will be generated. Find the HTML code which begins with "HREF" and copy the code (right click and choose copy).

Using Tickers & Siggies on SN

Currently it is not possible to have a permanent signature on SN, so if you wish your ticker to appear in every post you write you will have to, along with any other "siggy" things, create yourself a journal with the siggy in and copy & paste it into each and every post you write.

To do this, go to your profile page (click on "My Stuff"), click on "Journals" and click to add a new entry.  On the toolbar, you will see an HTML button (near to the smilies & font colour etc buttons) - click on it and in the HTML box that appears, you need to paste in the HTML code for the ticker that you created.  If you have any other siggy items, you will need to do the same thing - copy & paste their HTML codes into the box - in the order you wish them to appear - and click ok.  Once back in the "normal" view, you will see your siggy as it will appear, make it how you want it to look and then save the journal entry (perhaps click on advanced options and make it only visible to yourself).

To get your siggy to appear on your posts, you will need to open your journal entry, copy the whole thing and then paste it at the bottom of your post - every time you write a post.
