Very small time commitment required (5-10 hours, or more if you wish).
Want to publish or make videos for a website? All in a matter of minutes! Want to write about your favorite things to do in Irvine from Restaurants to Music Venues to Recreation to simple silly things?
ASUCI Web Designer Troy Campbell is looking for writers who want to produce 3 – 5 sentence reviews of various venues, activities, and aspects of campus life for the upcoming website “Life in the Vine” a guide to college life and recreation in the Irvine/Orange County area.
We also have some promotional and longer form writing if you are interested in that as well.

If you REALLY LOVE VIDEO then we also have some video editing positions available where we only need a 10 hour commitment.
Contact Troy Campbell at tcampbel@uci.edu and tell us what you want to write about or produce. We will send you the list of some of the venues and activities to review, but we welcome and appreciate your own unique venue and activity ideas as well!

Particular Topics to Write
The Gypsy Den
What: A Café/Restaurant that just feels fun, with a bohemian, original, homey, and college feel (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
Why go there: It’s hip but with a friendly staff and a mom and pop feel. It feels and taste different than any place around. The art work and decor is fantastic. The food is flavorful and rich, and the atmosphere is great. There are lots of cushion seats and lots of tables as well. There are musical performers and open mics almost every night. Plus the Coasta Mesa location is in the trendy Lab and the Santa Ana one is on Broadway Street with the art galleries, clubs, and happenings.
You Must Try: The
Mayan Hot Chocolate or Mayan Mocha. And
the pancakes.
