Mary Cooper, Caitlin Boyce, and Amy Winkler were the only members who showed interest at the meeting, so congratulations to these three!
The full committee will be announced soon.
Opportunities
Want to save babies while searching the Internet?
http://www.prolifeinternet.com/ is owned and run by a non-profit pro-life group, and 100% of the proceeds benefit groups across the country like Crossroads and SFLA. It's simple - all you do is use it to search like you would use Google! And it works just the same!
Set this as your home page and use it to search the Internet. It has the full searching power of Google and will help raise money for pro-life efforts each time you search.
Plug from the Great Issues Committee
The Great Issues Committee of Saint Louis University would like to extend an invitation to our upcoming event featuring John Bul Dau on Thursday, December 6th at 7:00 in the BSC Ballrooms. Dau will be giving a speech entitled "Crisis in Sudan." Everyone is welcome to attend a reception following the speech.
Dau, one of the men featured in the documentary God Grew Tired of Us, was born in the Sudan and was forced to leave his village when the northern government began attacking the south.
In 2001, he was one of the Lost Boys sponsored to live in the United States, and he has since helped raise over $150,000 to support the Lost Boys as well as build a clinic in southern Sudan.
He has firsthand experience and will be explaining the crises from the 1987 troubles that created the Lost Boys generation to the current genocide in Darfur.
Send “Member of the Week” nominations to sfl@slu.edu.
Next week’s meeting will include a presentation by Tim, as well as Christmas fun!
It will be the last meeting of the semester, and we will decide on a time for meetings next year, so please come!
Adjournment
"We deserve, demand, have a right to--can create--something better than the abortion industry's 'cure' for our unique condition of impregnability, whether that abortionist be in the back alley or the plush front office."
