      2. Respect Life Week chair: Hannah Diamond

      3. Sunday, October 5th

        • Set up of Cemetery of the Innocents

          • wooden crosses in the grassy area between Pius Library and Dubourg Hall

          • to represent the abortions that occur daily

        • Candle-lit prayer service after 10pm Mass to bless the crosses

      4. Monday, October 6th

        • Distribute “Did You Know?” newsletter to student mailboxes

        • Speaker Zina Hackworth

          • SFL member Brian Hackworth’s mother

          • Zina and her daughters have put together Mother & Daughter Pro-Life/Abstinence Workshops for African American women

      5. Tuesday, October 7th

        • Project Baby Bottle (will continue throughout the week)

          • members collect money from their classes, dorms, etc. in plastic baby bottles

          • donations will go to local pregnancy resource centers

      6. Wednesday & Thursday

        • Tabling, pro-life T-shirt day, Project Baby Bottle continued

      7. Friday, October 10th

        • Hand out Life Savers in the Quad

      8. Saturday, October 11th

        • Volunteer Day at Our Lady’s Inn

          • Our Lady’s Inn is a local crisis pregnancy center where pregnant women who have nowhere to go can live during their pregnancy. The women take classes and learn how to support themselves and their children.

      9. Sunday, October 12th

        • National Life Chain on Grand Blvd

          • silently hold signs for one hour in protest of abortion

      10. The Respect Life Week planning committee meets after Students for Life meetings, anyone interested may join

    1. Faith in Civic Action Representative

      1. We are looking for someone who would be interested in representing SFL

      2. 12 reps from Social Justice organizations at SLU will come together to discuss how faith and civic action coincide

      3. They will attend a conference on these different issues

      4. They will then host an event at SLU after the conference to educate students

    1. Children's Hospital Dance Marathon, October 25th

      1. Children’s Miracle Network fundraiser at Washington University

      2. 3pm-3am, dance to a variety of music all night long!
