  2. Opening Remarks

    1. Thank you notes were passed around for the Knights of Columbus and Dr. Dixon

    2. A SLU alum and former SFL member sent a note with her Run registration money. She is happy to hear what our group is accomplishing.

  3. Old Business

    1. Dr. Michael Dixon’s presentation

      1. Members gave positive feedback about last week’s presentation on the reality behind birth control and the morning after pill.

  4. New Business

    1. Scholarship Update

      1. Brian Reilly updated the group

      2. On this Thursday morning, April 10th, the Scholarship Committee will present to the Women’s Commission, an important support to have at SLU

    2. Run Update

      1. The Run for Their Lives is THIS Saturday, April 12th

      2. Over 140 people have registered! Keep talking to people about the Run!

      3. Online registration is closed, but people can still register on race day. Day-of registrants should get there early to receive a T-shirt.

      4. Sign up to help on the day of the Run if you haven’t already. Contact runfortheirlives@gmail.com to volunteer.

      5. Help is needed for set up at about 6:30 or 7am on Saturday, meet at the Clocktower. We will also need members to help point runners along the course during the Run and to help clean up after the Run. Noon is the estimated time for being finished.

      6. Also, if you have a car and can help transport items for the Run on Thursday or Friday, contact Caitlin Boyce at cboyce4@slu.edu.

      7. There will be a Run committee meeting tomorrow at 5:30 in Campus Ministry

    3. 2007-2008 SFL pictures

      1. Please burn your SFL pictures from this year to a CD or bring them on a flash drive to the meeting on April 22nd so we can compile them.

      1. If anyone is interested in helping Matt VonRueden with writing the website content, contact him at mvonrue1@slu.edu.

    6. Chaifetz Arena Fundraising

      1. We will have two teams to work at the food stands, the teams will work at alternating events

      2. Kelly O’Shea and Kelsey Evans volunteered to be team captains

      3. Tom Chlebeck will be the e-board contact

  5. Opportunities

    1. Special Olympics

      1. They are still in need nine more volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, email Ginny Owens at vowens11@slu.edu

      2. April 19th, 7:30am-4:00pm, you will be paired up with a buddy to cheer on through the day

    2. SFL Iggy's Night

      1. April 29th, 6-10pm instead of the meeting

      2. We will get a portion of the profits from all the receipts we collect throughout the evening, and it will be a lot of fun!

    3. Relay for Life

      1. The last Relay participant meeting is this Thursday night, April 10th, at 7pm, in BSC 173

      2. Relay fundraising

        • Papa Johns: Tomorrow, April 9th, 15% goes to Relay if you mention SLU Relay when you order

        • Iggy’s Night: Sunday, April 13th, 5-11pm

        • Ben and Jerry’s in the Loop: Tuesday, April 15th, 7-10pm
