  2. Opening Remarks

    1. UNews Articles- Please check out this weeks newspaper to see articles written by two SFL members, Kevin Grillot and Tim Wright.

    2. Tim Wright has written a pro-life novel, Plea for Life.

      1. The cost of the novel is $15 and money can be brought to the next SFL meeting. All proceeds will benefit the Scholarship that SFL is establishing for pregnant and or parenting students. Email Tim at twrigh12@slu.edu for more information

    3. Feedback from Elections

      1. Several Students for Life members went out in the cold and rain to the polls today and hand-billed for the upcoming legislation to ban cloning. Thanks to all the members for their time and commitment!

  3. Old Business

    1. Vote on Constitution Changes

      1. The group unanimously voted to change the constitution. Attached is the updated document.

    2. Relay for Life (Team participation meeting)

      1. Mary Cooper updated the group on Relay for Life. The goal for each team member is to raise $100. In addition, the team is looking for a survivor to represent our team. Please contact Mary at mcoope21@slu.edu if you have any questions.

  4. New Business

    1. Run for Their Lives Update

      1. Anyone interested in helping with the run should attend the committee meeting on Wednesday at 5:30 in the Campus Ministry Coffee House.

      2. Check out run information at our website pages.slu.edu/org/sfl and look at the updated registration page. Thanks Tom for all your work on the website!

    2. Scholarship Update

      1. Members of the Scholarship Committee were introduced to the group: Mary Cooper, Amy Winkler, Caitlin Boyce, Brian Reilly, Chris McGeehan, and Kathleen Neuner

      2. The committee is meeting with the advancement office this week to begin fundraising planning.

    3. Our Lady's Inn Service Day

      1. Service day will be Saturday, February 16th. SFL will be going to both the Saint Louis and Saint Charles location. Students will be going in 2 shifts: 9:00am-12:00 and 12:00-3:00

    4. Baby Shower

      1. If you are interested in helping plan a Baby Shower please contact Sarah Pingel and spingel@slu.edu. The baby shower will be in March

    1. Funnel Cake Point Person

      1. Thank you to Pat, Jay, and Tom who volunteered to help plan funnel cakes for both Relay and Spring Fever. If you are interested in helping out email Pat at mcginnpc@slu.edu

    2. Fish Fry

      1. Knights of Columbus will have a fish fry on Fridays from 11-6. Students for Life members interested in helping work the fish fry should email Tim at twrigh12@slu.edu.

      2. PROCEDES FROM THE FISH FRY BENEFIT THE SCHOLARSHIP SO EVERYONE SHOULD GO FOR LUNCH AND DINNER!

      1. Please consider running for an e-board or chairperson position next year. Students for Life is an expanding group that needs strong leadership to continue to impact our school and community. Talk to any e-board member or email sfl@slu.edu if you have any questions.
