    1. Make a Difference Day…………………………………Colleen Corcoran

      1. MADD was last Saturday, we traveled to the St. Charles Our Lady’s Inn

      2. About 15 members participated in MADD with SFL

      3. They were so surprised and happy that we got so much done! Some projects included cleaning the kitchen, raking leaves, mulching trees, cleaning a garden, staining a fence, and painting pumpkins with the kids.

    2. Children's Hospital Dance Marathon………………………...Caitlin Boyce

      1. Took place on the evening after MADD

      2. 11 SFL members danced all night

      3. A total of $131,000 was raised at the event

    1. Forest Park Hayride………………………………………Matt Von Rueden

      1. Friday, November 14th

      2. Ride through Forest Park, wagons leave at intervals between 7 and 8:20 pm, 45 minute ride, drop off at the picnic grounds where a bonfire is waiting, we can bring hotdogs and marshmallows to roast

      3. $5-10 per person, depending on the number who sign up

      4. It is $100 per wagon, up to 20 people on a wagon

    2. Halloween Bash………………………………………….........Caitlin Boyce

      1. Party for local kids so they have a safe place to treat or treat and have some Halloween fun, about 15 student organizations will have booths

      2. Friday, October 31st, BSC Ballroom

      3. 3-4pm set-up, 4-6pm the kids will be there

      4. Our booth will be making Halloween masks from paper plates

      5. Volunteers are encouraged to dress up, but not required

    3. Chaifetz Concessions………………………………………….Kelly O’Shea

      1. The concession stands have been very profitable! Please continue to volunteer!

      2. We are no longer doing Carrie Underwood on Dec 5th

      3. Basketball games, Nov 5th(men’s) and 7th(women’s)

        • 4pm to 10-11pm, we can divide into two shifts if enough people sign up

    4. Scholarship Fundraising.……………………………………….Brian Reilly

      1. Members are encouraged to raise as much money as possible by talking to family and friends

      2. Members raising over $250 will be entered into a raffle for various gift cards

      3. We need everyone’s help if we are to reach our goal of $25,000!

    5. March for Life Chairperson……………………………… Matt Von Rueden

      1. We are looking for a member to lead our annual trip to Washington, D.C. for the March for Life, to commemorate the anniversary of Roe v. Wade on January 22nd

      2. The Chair will be in charge of publicity for the March (including the “Pack the Buses” event), organizing registration, creating the itinerary, handling correspondence, and organizing host families. The Chair can create a committee.

      1. Still need some writers for the November issue of the “Heartbeat” newsletter (SFL’s monthly newsletter that goes out via e-mail to nearly 700 SFL contacts)

        • Scholarship: Brain Reilly will ask the Scholarship Committee for a volunteer

        • Pro-life news article: we got a volunteer
