Psa 46:1-11  To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth. Elohim is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  (2)  Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;  (3)  Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.  (4)  There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of Elohim, the Set Apart place of the tabernacles of the most High.  (5)  Elohim is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: Elohim shall help her, and that right early.  (6)  The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.  (7)  YHWH of hosts is with us; the Elohim of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.  (8)  Come, behold the works of YHWH, what desolations he hath made in the earth.  (9)  He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.  (10)  Be still, and know that I am Elohim: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.  (11)  YHWH of hosts is with us; the Elohim of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

SSSSsshhhhhhhh...

Rom 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of YHWH.

Eph 4:21-24  If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in YHWSHUA:  (22)  That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;  (23)  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  (24)  And that ye put on the new man, which after YHWH is created in righteousness and true holiness.

We have 100's of arbitrary thoughts run through our minds every minute.. keeping the mind so "busy" (In the Natural) that we don't see what's really going on around us (Spirit Realm)!

Science says: More than 64,800 thoughts/day (1 per second)

Most of these thoughts are negative.. self-judgment and self-criticism

Future fears & Past defeats

Quietness, Emptiness, Nothingness (No Thingness); Not being consmed or thinking about anything in the present moment.

Hab 2:20  But YHWH is in his Set Apart temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

When we refuse to be quiet Trouble comes..

Job 3:26  I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.

Jer 49:23  Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

Pro 17:1  Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than a house full of sacrifices with strife.

Ecc 4:6  Better is a handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit.

2Th 3:11  For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

1Ti 5:13  And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

1Pe 4:15  But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

This is why we are commanded in:

Psa 4:4,8  Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. (8)  I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, YHWH, only makest me dwell in safety.

Psa 46:10  Be still, and know that I am Elohim: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Quietness Removes Fear & Anxiety

Pro 1:33  But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Isa 7:4  And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not...

Jer 30:10  Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith YHWH; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

When the mind is quiet and at peace.. it is impossible to have fear and stress enter in. We need to free our minds from all of these fears that continually try to enter in!

2Co 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of YHWH, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Messiah;

We can never force our mind into quietness.. We must see that we cannot struggle with thoughts in order to quiet the mind. The more we fight these thoughts... the stronger they become! If we replace these thoguhts... then the mind will quiet itself.

Quietness brings Inner and Outer Peace

Pro 18:10  The name of YHWH is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Psa 91:1-3  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  (2)  I will say of YHWH, He is my refuge and my fortress: my Elohim; in him will I trust.  (3)  Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

Where is this strong tower? Is it a physical place? No, of course not.. it is the tabernacle of YHWH within our very souls!

Luk 17:21  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of YHWH is within you.

Speak quietness and peace into every situation:

Mar 4:39  And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Rom 12:18  If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Psa 107:30  Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

Isa 32:18  And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

Isa 33:20  Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.

1Ti 2:2 (Pray) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all righteousness and honesty.

1Pe 3:4  But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of YHWH of great price.

Isa 26:3  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Exo 14:13-15  And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of YHWH, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever.  (14)  YHWH shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.  (15)  And YHWH said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

Quietness brings Strength

Isa 30:15  For thus saith The Master YHWH, the Set Apart One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.

Isa 26:3-4  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.  (4)  Trust ye in YHWH forever: for in YHWH YHWH is everlasting strength:

Isa 32:17  And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.

Psa 29:11  YHWH will give strength unto his people; YHWH will bless his people with peace.

Wisdom is seen in Quietness

Act 19:36  Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.

Ecc 9:17  The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.

Pro 14:29  He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

Pro 25:8  Go not forth hastily to strive, lest thou know not what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbor hath put thee to shame.

1Th 4:11  And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

Go sit out under the stars... or by a peaceful River.. Walk through the Woods, Watch & Listen to the waves at the beach... Observe a Sunset... and quiet your mind....

"The important thing is this: to be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become." -Charles Du Bos

Everyone should carefully observe which way his heart draws him, and then choose that way with all his strength.
