Q: Sometimes the stories are seen but mostly they are just reacted to - yes I know - that is just the appearance. Right now I hate the appearance and the screen it plays out on.
Why can not this always be seen and cognised?
A: This IS always seen and cognized. Life is looking at itself right now. Only there is the belief that there is a separate "ME" doing the looking, needing to find something, needing to see something different, needing to see something persistent and permanent.
What is seen and the seer are One. The relative "stories" come and go like waves on the ocean, yet the wave is not apart from the ocean.
Pure experiencing is pure consciousness - containing the appearance and the seer of the appearance, which are only conceptual distinctions.
Identified consciousness is a pattern called thought, itself not separate from consciousness, claiming separateness, claiming individuality, claiming choice and free will and desire to be free, the desire to find enlightenment.
The individual can never be free, can never see clearly and permanently, because the individual is itself the illusion.
Whether "consciousness" is identified or not makes absolutely no difference - the suffering and seeking is another play of illusion within the totality of Life.
Who is affected by any of these stories? Honestly?
