Q:  Randall, from where you are, as awareness, do you see past and not fall for the traps of emotions?  You have been talking with me for a while; do you know where i am at and see my hangups?  I was with Jason in second life last Tuesday- do you know of any more non-dual second life sites?

 

A:  What assumptions must be present for these questions to arise?  Is there a "randall" apart from present awareness?  Where does "randall" appear?  Can "randall" be separated from present Consciousness?
 
All there is, is Consciousness.  And that Consciousness is knowing itself, right here and now.  No experience, no matter what the content or flavor or quality of that experience, can EVER be separated from this present Presence of Consciousness.
 
The mind translates or interprets what IS as - "there is randall and jason and they have it and I don't and I want to get it so I ask them questions and listen to their responses and then I don't get it so I continue to ask and don't quite see what they are pointing to...."

But PRIOR TO all this mental translation, what IS?  That Consciousness must have been present for these translations to occur - in fact the mental translation/thoughts arise IN the Consciousness, which is ALWAYS unmodified, uncorrected and unaltered by ANYTHING which is appearing - the worst possible thought or situation can NEVER affect the Consciousness.
 
So whether the translation is happening or not, whether this "tom" GETS IT or not, what IS, is Consciousness/Experience - which are NONDUAL.  One.  Oneness is ALREADY THIS. 
 
The translation or interpretation of mind cannot in any way separate this Consciousness into parts, into a subject and object, into a "seer" and "seen", into a "tom" who doesn't have it and a "randall" who does.

Therefore the search can stop because THIS is always as it is.  It is only the mental translation that seemingly creates a situation where "tom" must discover the Truth.  If the translation stops, THIS IS, as it is.  If the translation doesn't stop, THIS IS, as it is.
 
Yet what THIS IS, is only "what you think it is", in mind.  What Reality IS - is PRIOR TO mind, prior to translation.  In fact the "mind" is itself a translation of THIS. 
 
When the "tom" is seen as just another translation or story, then who remains to seek?  The search doesn't end, for "randalll" or "jason" or "nisargadatta" because all the answers were found.  Any answer can ONLY EVER be another translation or story - belonging to "someone", found BY "someone".  The search ends because it's seen that the very individual you've taken yourself to BE, is the root TRANSLATION in mind.  "tom" is an interpretation of the Presence of Consciousness AS a separate SUBJECT, in the world of separate OBJECTS.  This simply isn't actual experience. 
 
The search ends because the "seeker" was only ever another story, an interpretation of this immediacy, this nondual reality, into parts, into subject/object, into a "tom" seeking answers.  No one remains to seek.
 
Actual experience, THIS HERE NOW, is Nondual.  One.
