Most workshops are full day (6 hour) classes, a couple can be taught as half day classes

or expanded over several days.



Painting Fabric for Whole Cloth Quilts
(6 hour class, can be expanded 2-5 days)

From adding details, dimension or shadow to
creating fully illustrated scenes, paint offers endless
opportunities for creating special effects on fabric.
Working with various types of fabric paints you will
learn different techniques for applying paint to fabric,
creating smooth gradations of color and adding fine
details to your work.

Class can be expanded for multiple days (2-5 days)
An extended class would include working on
independent design and taking it through quilting
and finishing techniques.

Ornamental Fiesta (6 hours)

Gifts issue.

Inspired by Mexican tin folk art, these fun and festive ornaments incorporate painting with textile paints,
quilting, embossing and sewing metal.

Color Theory (6 hours)

Did you know the color choices you make can transform an average piece of artwork into something
spectacular? Be surprised and delighted by the effects and illusions you can create by understanding the
mysteries of color. In this hands-on experiential class you'll learn key color concepts with visual examples,
mix new paint colors, and create helpful charts, all providing you with the tools you’ll need to see color
in a whole new light.

Mixed Media Painted Fabric
(6 hours, or can be expanded 2-5 days)
Using textile paints, gel medium and decorative
printed images create a fun versatile fabric that can
be used to make tote bags, fabric bowls, vessels,
sculptural objects or book cloth for making handmade
and altered books.
6 hour class will create the collaged and painted
fabric.

2 day class will include working on the sewing machine to
further enhance the design with quilting and create a tote bag or wall hanging.

3-5 day class would include creating 3-dimensional
sculptural pieces like the Dream Houses seen in Cloth
Paper Scissors magazine.










Mixed Media Apron (6 hours)

Using textile paints, gel medium and decorative printed
images create a fun art apron to wear when ever you are
in the mood for creating.

Tsukineko Inks (6 hours)

Tsukineko All purpose inks have a broad range of applications for
painting fabric. Learn effective shading and blending techniques
working with wet and dry brush applicator methods to create
original fabric to use in your quilts.

Workshops are $600 per day for up to 25 students.
Half day workshops are $300.


Lectures
$300 for a one hour lecture.
