I learned so much in this class, and came away with my own painted swatch charts that will be invaluable for future reference for my quilting and art projects. The online class format is well structured, yet adaptable to quirky personal schedules in a way that regular classes aren't. I'd highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to gain a better understanding of color.

I always wondered how some people seemed to consistently build awesome color combinations...now I know! They know the theory behind understanding color. Judy's class helped me to not only feel more comfortable & confident with color choices but how to mix colors to get all those yummy secondary colors. Now I don't have to depend on finding pre-mixed colors to utilize. I can also put together colors in fabric that will consistently work well together! This is a "must take" class for anyone that wants to feel more comfortable in their color choices.

I
have been making art quilts for 5 years now and loving the process, but
my color sense was lacking. Your color class completely opened my
world. I can successfully create transparencies, know how to mix two
colors to get a third, learned about the value of colors, how just by
adding white, gray, black tones and even burnt sienna, how the fabric
color changes when crossed. As an added bonus I learned I love to
paint, and am playing with pen & ink, and watercolor. I have more
confidence in choosing color combinations with the associated values
for a quilt. I highly recommend your class to unexperienced and
experienced colorists alike. I learned much and I thank you.

This is an excellent basic class in Color theory with very detailed explanations and examples. The chapters each have accompanying reading and exercises that enhance the learning process. I highly recommend it for beginners and more experienced painters. I look forward to Judy's next class online.

I loved the way Judy answered questions carefully and fully. She explains the reasons why colors mix differently with others, which is why you need 2 of each of the primary colors, because even with them, there are differences in how they are made up. Clear as mud??? Take the class!
