Explanation of Leading Inputs

The presentations are short leading inputs with the focus being slightly different for individuals who will present more than once. This focus should take its cue from the commission abstracts and questions, based on your own individual, programmatic or organisational experience.

For the purposes of facilitating multiple dialogues and sharing lessons and experience, during these sections individuals in attendance have been chosen to provide leading comments. It is our hope to take direction from the multiple experiences of individuals and organizations attending so that the conference is not just another talking event. We wish to acknowledge and appreciate the expertise of those in attendance. We want to create the space for participation and multiple voices, thus realizing and being aware of the wealth of knowledge and experience already existent in the dialogue space. We hope the commissions will provide for a more participatory approach to our dialogues.

We realize this method steps out of the “norm” where there are often expert panel inputs followed by question and answers. It is our wish you support our efforts toward a dialogue which may be continued long after the conference.
