Task:     Write an Essay or a Presentation about the Future Web (10 points)

Your task is to write a short essay or a set of slides that describe your view of the Web in 2013.

After completing this assignment, you will have:
 

• Learned to be a better thinker of technology
  
• Learned how to evaluate and spot technology and business trends
  
• Learned how to communicate forward thinking ideas to people.
  

Use the lecture slides for April 21, 2008, "Semantic Web 2.0" as your starting point.

Think about the following questions:

1. Will the Web be any different from the present one in 2013? Explain.
2. Do you see Semantic Web technologies play a role in the future Web? Explain.
   
3. What kinds of Web technologies will "die" or "live" in 2013? 
4. What tools and technologies do we need to develop in order to create the kind of Web that you are imagining?
   
5. Do you think the World will be better place with the new Web in 2013? Explain.

You are free to discuss other questions that interest you. However, your discussion must cover the Web in the future, not just about the present Web. Be a futurist!

3. Email the Instructor the link to the blog post.

The length of your presentation slides must be between 20-30 pages.
