Bootcamp Review

Hello Ladies! I just got on your website for the first time to see if there were any bootcamp pics posted yet. I didn't find those, but i did find the testimonials. I was excited to read Mike's, he has done sooo well! Then I scrolled down and saw my name. It was my feed back from the first bootcamp. I had forgotten about that and was surprised to see it there! But it also made me feel silly because if I was going to write a testimonial it would sound a bit more like this:

The first I heard of Fitness Bootcamp was from my friend Mandy. She had heard about it and really wanted to do it. She asked me if I would do it with her and I agreed right away! We had a while between the time we signed up and our first class so I had some time to think about it. People kept asking me why I was doing it and I told most of them it was just to see if I could and because Mandy wanted me to. But I really started to realize it was more than that. Even though I didn't need to lose a ton of weight, I was extremely unhappy with my body. I have had one baby, who is now eight years old, and I weighed more at that time than I did six months after giving birth to him. All my clothes were tight and I was horribly out of shape! How did I let myself go like that? And the older I get, the harder it's been to shake off the pounds. I know now that I made the right choice! I am so thankful that Mandy asked me to join! The workouts are HARD! But nothing compares to how much better you feel after every class. There are men and women all different ages and sizes, but we all have the same goal. Without this program I never would have gotten the push I needed. It truly is a lifestyle change. After years of unhealthy eating and not exercising at all, this class showed me the right way to live. I finished the six weeks and loved it so much I talked my sister and my sister in law to do it with me. We just began another six weeks and I'm so happy we did. Kelli and Traci are so much fun! They push us hard, but in a way that's also very encouraging. I can't think of anyone I'd rather have screamin at me to work harder or go faster! I reached my goal the first time around and feel so great! My body is stronger than it ever has been and I have so much more energy. I lost the ten pounds that were making my clothes so tight and now eat foods that make me feel good and not like a sack of lard! I can't imagine how it will feel to finish a second time around. Thank you so much Kelli and Traci and everyone in my life for being so helpful and supportive:)

When I signed up for boot camp I did not know what to expect. I knew that I needed to make a change in my life. I was near 300 lbs; I was referred to as “Big Guy”, “Big Mike”, etc. I had come to think that this was who I was and who I always would be. My father is over 350, my brother is over 320, and I felt we were just big people. Then Traci and Kelli came into my life.

I am not exaggerating to tell you that these workouts are the toughest I have ever endured. I was a football player, wrestler, and track athlete in high school, and played football for four years in college. I never have worked my body this way.

It’s hard to describe the workouts because they are never the same. They tax our bodies in different ways every workout. My biggest satisfaction in these workouts was the sense of accomplishment I feel after finishing. It was encouraging to see my strength improve dramatically over the six weeks. I also am going to hit my target goal of losing 30 lbs. in the 6 weeks. My off day workouts have improved also. I would have never dreamed that I could do an hour of cardio per day, now it’s done easily every day.

I received a great compliment this morning as a lady I know at the rec center had to ask who I was because she did not recognize me. This made me feel wonderful, but I realize I am only half way to my goal weight. That is why I have signed up for another bootcamp and would love to be in the advanced bootcamp. I continue to work on the goals I set for myself at the beginning of camp and will continue into my next camp.

If anybody, especially the men out there, want to know what this is about, I would enjoy talking with them. This is not for the faint of heart. I worked out for a month before I started and it wasn’t enough, but I was glad I had. One of my goals was that I wanted to change my life, and I knew that it has to start with me. Nobody takes me to my workouts; nobody forces me to eat well. I know what I need to do, but I also needed the expertise, support, and daily contact that my trainers gave me. I truly thank you for that

I look forward to my continued relationship with Traci and Kelli and know that they are more than trainers, they are friends.

Wow! What a journey. What a great 6 weeks! I will miss everyone who participated in bootcamp. I feel like we all bonded into this silent team. We all secretly and not so secretly pushed each other, comforted each other, laughed with each other, and most importantly sweat tears and what felt like blood beside each other. I will definitely miss Traci and Kelli's encouragement and support most of all. Your dedication and belief in all of us made me want to do this not only for me and my body but for you as well. I have learned through this experience that exercise not only strengthens a persons body...it strengthens a persons spirit. When I began bootcamp 6 weeks ago I was sad and withdrawn. Each week I learned that I am not only strong enough to finish 4 songs of cardio but that I was strong enough to begin creating the person and life I was entitled to. For me, bootcamp has proven to me that I can make changes in my life with hard work. I began feeling more confident with every compliment, every doughnut I passed up, and after every ass busting workout. Confidence! Confidence is the one major thing my life was lacking. I am working hard on being confident and strong enough to stand alone, apart from my family, friends, and boyfriend and DEFINE MYSELF on my OWN TERMS. I have came so far in 6 weeks and know I have so much more self discovery ahead of me. However, without bootcamp, I don't believe I would have had the spark, the encouragement and support to begin this journey on my own. Bootcamp offers rocking music, incredible trainers, friendship, accountability, and a reason to push yourself to a new level. I am so sad to be done with bootcamp but so grateful to have been given this opportunity. For those who are thinking about bootcamp all I have to say is that you deserve it and, if you embrace the experience and give it your all, will come out with a hot, healthy body and a reason to be proud. Thank you Traci! Thank you Kelli! I Love you both for helping me find myself again. XO Until next time!

Testimonial: It works! It works your butt, your legs, your arms, your

lungs, your abs, your mind -- all of your parts are worked and REworked.

Hey Ladies,

First of all I wanted both of you to know that I think you do a great job. I can't think of doing a class like this and having anyone but you guys teaching it. I think the motivational talks at the end of class are good. This helps to stay centered and remember your goal. Maybe do that at the end of every class.

I feel a bit lost now that class is over on how to continue. I just don't want to stop working out because i don't know what to do. I would love to have copies of the workouts we did, or at least some help on where to go from here. I know you also said at asessments you would answer some of those quetions so I will save it for then.

I didn't ever send you a food journal. I guess half was because i would write it down on different notebooks all the time so it was scattered around , and half because I didn't know we were supposed to give it to you. How often? Weekly? I found it helps me alot to actually see on paper everything i eat. But i didn't use it as something i looked back on. Just to keep track during that day.

I am excited to do this all over again with my sisters in May! I hope i don't lose all this great muscle tone between now and then!!!

Thanks so much for everything!!!

Cinta

Hey there! Well i had an awesome time! Bootcamp helped me in so many ways not only with fitness but attitude and personal health. I am so much happier and much more self confident. Having someone to encourage me and say positive things to me every time I was at the studio made me feel so good and just pushed me to do better. When you have someone telling you how great you look and pushing you to do better you have the drive to want to make yourself better. I have a long way to go before I reach the point where I want to be so I plan to keep going. The one thing I know that I could have done better was the eating and diet that we had. I really struggled with the detox. I have changed my eating alot and have started to eat much healthier but I'm still cheating now and then. During the week when kyle is out of town and I am home alone working I eat alot better but its when the weekend roles around I want to cook big meals and bake while he is home. This is what I need to work on. I had lost alot of weight in the beginning but I know that I have gained it back. This is so sad for me. The only thing I can think of is that my legs are rock hard and so much more in tone than before so im not sure if it is muscle or fat. BUT! I HAVE WENT DOWN ALMOST 2 PANTS SIZES!!!!!!!!!!!!! so this is why im a little confused... my arms have went down alot to. I loved bootcamp and i am going to do it again and probably stay in it to have some discipline in my workout.. i work out almost everyday but having someone to answer to helps me to want to do better. The only thing I can think of that I would have liked to do more of in bootcamp was more running and cardio. I love to run and I just feel that when i was doing more cardio i was working harder and burning more. Thanks for everything and being such a great impact! You are both great friends!!!! XOXO LOVE TREY!
