Masters of Science in Physical Therapy, University of Toronto 2008

Sherwood Physiotherapy is pleased to welcome Adrienne Leggett as an associate/manager. Trained as a PT in Toronto, Adrienne has worked with patients with every kind of condition. She has logged over 1200 clinical hours involving musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, and neuromuscular rehabilitation of people from all walks of life, dealing with all sorts of conditions. Her experience spans everything from working in organ transplant and stroke units in hospital, to working in dance studios in the community, providing home service for the elderly and house-bound, and serving as team trainer for a rugby team. She is a scientist as well - she has completed original qualitative research on international clinical internships for Canadian Physical Therapy students, and presented her findings at National PT Congress in Calgary, May 2009.
She brings a steady, quiet presence to her work, and would appear to be heading toward becoming a life-long learner. She is keen to learn manual therapy skills which can help to alleviate nagging persistent pain so many people live with.
Adrienne has professional dance training, and chose our neighbourhood to live and work in because of its central location, and because many of the dancers in the city live nearby. Her interest in dance and sport injury will be a big asset to the Drive, and to its many gyms.
She looks forward to all the climbing, hiking and mountain biking readily available nearby the city.
