Agencies and Organizations

• AMA Public Health
• The AMA supports a wide range of policies and activities regarding public health issues, including geriatric and adolescent health, violence prevention, health disparities and obesity.
•  American Public Health Association
• The American Public Health Association is the oldest, largest and most diverse organization of public health professionals in the world and has been working to improve public health since 1872.
•  Minnesota Institute of Public Health
• Founded in 1972 as a nonprofit organization, MIPH applies public health research and programming services to communities through project work commissioned by federal and state agencies, foundations and other groups.
•  National Network of Public Health Institutes
• NNPHI is a membership organization that fosters networking and collaboration amongst twenty-eight public health institutes and multi-sector partners.
•  Office of Public Health and Science
• The Office of Public Health and Science (OPHS) is comprised of 12 core public health offices and the Commissioned Corps, a uniformed service of more than 6,000 health professionals who serve at HHS and other federal agencies.
