What to pack
As we cannot guarantee the state of the weather, we would suggest that
items are brought for both hot and cold weather on every trip. Weather
proof jackets and trousers and all safety equipment is provided for
everyone. Because of limited storage space, it is necessary for all
items to be packed into a soft bag, NO SUITCASES.
The following items are essential and a minimum:
Adequate underwear for a daily change plus a spare set.
Socks for a daily change.
Pyjamas or a track suit for sleeping.
Loose fitting, comfortable trousers. (at least two pairs)
Trainers or similar comfortable shoes. (two pairs)
'T' Shirts (or similar) for each day.
Jumpers or sweatshirts. (at least two)
A coat or jacket.
Gloves.
A warm hat.
Sanitary towels for the ladies.
Shaving equipment for the gents.
Sunscreen (essential when on the sea)
Flannel and towel.
Soap.
Shampoo.
Toothbrush and toothpaste.
Deodorant (if used).
Brush or comb.
Sleeping bag.
Pillow.
Personal spending money for drinks or presents.
These are additional items that you might want to bring with you:
A pair of shorts.
A hat for shading the sun if you burn easily.
Something smart and casual to change into for the evening.
Camera.
Bodywarmer.
A bin liner bag for dirty clothes.
Radios
and tape players can be a problem if they disturb others onboard. We
would suggest that these are only practical if used with earphones.
