How is heat transferred?
Day 1
By the end of class, you should have taken notes from at least one source. You should also have a complete and accurate citation of the reference. Follow the MLA Citation link to be sure you did it correctly. Your group should meet for the last ten minutes of class, at which time you will compile your work into the group's folder. You will also take this time to fill out the "Group Accountability Sheet."
Day 2: 3/19
You should continue researching your topic today. Every member of the group should have a minimum of two sources, with citations, for Thursday's class.
Day 3-8: 3/20-28
You should all have this checklist in your folder. From here on out, each group will be working at their own pace. Everyone should be prepared to teach their lesson on Tuesday, April 1st.
____ Have a group discussion about your essential questions. In order for you to teach others about your topic, EVERY group member must have an understanding of the topic. (Use visuals and examples if necessary). If you feel that more research is necessary, in order to fully understand your topic, then this is what you should do.
____ When you feel that everyone in your group fully understands your topic, let me know so I can come and talk with your group.
_____ After I have met with your group, you can begin brainstorming how you plan to teach this material to the rest of the class. Remember, your final lesson should involve some sort of hands-on lab/activity, as well as an assessment. If you get stuck, ask for help.
_____ Develop an outline for your lesson.
_____ Have me look over you outline. I need to be sure that the activity/lab is appropriate and safe. I also need to know what sort of materials you will need for your lab.
_____ Start developing and consolidating all the materials you will need for your lesson. When you fiind a lab/activity, allow me to review it. I need to be sure that it is appropriate/safe and all the necessary materials are available.
_____ Before actually doing the lab, you will need to try it yourself to be sure it works.
_____ Put together an equipment list for your lab. This should be submitted to me by Friday.
_____ On Tuesday, every group will turn in your folder. The folder should contain the following.
