Goals & Objectives
Increase SWE Membership by 10%
Aim for SWE Leadership retention to be at least 50%
Increase SWE Corporate Funding by 10%
Attain full corporate sponsorship to attend our SWE National Conference.
Attain full participation with industry at our Evening with Industry (EWI).
Gain additional funding from Cal Poly Pomona in support of our yearly programs as well as attendance at our National Conference.
Create new programs and committees that aim towards increasing involvement and providing additional leadership opportunities
Establish programs and committees that provide training to members for future leadership positions
Provide our organization with a higher quality of leadership for years to come
Increase in responsibility and recognition for Committee Chairmen and participants
Provide coordination and management experience for SWE Officers
Offer leadership opportunities for first time members
Deliver direct training and hands on leadership experience for first year members
Attract corporate attention through increased participation and communication with company representatives
Demonstrate the value of diversity by increasing SWE involvement & support of other engineering clubs (NSBE, SHPE, and SHSE) as well as pursue opportunities to collaborate with neighboring SWE sections.
Provide information and resources needed to help support members pursuit of employment in industry.
Provide support to our members and promote the college of engineering by taking on an active role during E-Week.
Provide opportunities for Cal Poly Pomona Alumni that are working in industry to reach out and speak to our officers & members.
Align our Outreach programs and initiatives with those of our College of Engineering.
Support and advertise benefits of outreach programs such as Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and SWE’s External Outreach K-12 Program.
