NEWSLETTER -OCTOBER HALF TERM

We are at the end of a half term which has flown by.  I am pleased to hear how new students have settled so well and all have enjoyed the new table-tennis games during breaks. Hot food from Topolinos each Friday has been a success.  Tomorrow it is Spaghetti Bolognese, or pasta with or without cheese.

It is ordinary school uniform on our last day tomorrow.  During the half-term there will be a two hour session on Tuesday 27th October - 10.30am until 12.30pm for entrants in the Worthing Speech and Drama Festival in November.  Friday 30th October is the Halloween Sleepover.  Leaflets are in the foyer, but so that we know numbers all responses must be returned by tomorrow Friday 23rd please.  The evening involves 6.30pm arrival, games, videos, snacks, supervised sleepover (sleeping bags or duvets please) and pancakes in the morning with a 10am pick up.

Some Year 10 and 11 students are entered for early GCSE modules in Science.  Full details will follow on school return Monday 2nd November.

A reminder about uniform now that the weather is cooler.  Only school blazers and macs must be worn.  I am aware that most students have the uniform but sometimes other coats are worn while the blazer/mac sits at home!

Please check the pupils website for any homework or projects set for the half-term break.  Next half-term we hope to arrange a parents social evening to add to the events list including children's Christmas Party, School Musical, and Christmas Fair.

Best Wishes
