What is the problem of morning classes?
In general morning classes are regarded as something terrible, therefore majority of students suggest that morning classes should be cancelled. It is because the attendance is too low. But that suggestion is not rational and effective to solve the problem. In the following, we will discuss in details about the problem of attendance and the heavy cost to students. We will also provide the possible solution to tackle it.
One of the serious problems of morning class is the low attendance rate. As we all know that most students have to work after school, some of them need to work for a long time. When they get home, it is already midnight. And some students have irregular sleep. Therefore, they may go to bed on (at) two or three o’clock in the morning. To imagine, if the student has class at eight thirty on the next day, they do not have enough sleep but (because they) only slept for around five hours. This may make the student tend to skip the morning class and thus the attendance rate of morning class becomes very low.
Another problem of morning classes is the heavy cost to students. It is because students need to have both breakfast and lunch if they have (use attend is better) morning classes. However, if students only have afternoon classes, they only need to have lunch outside or some may have their lunch at home. Therefore, it is obviously that morning classes will increase students’ financial cost.
To solve the problem of low attendance rate, increasing the attendance requirements is absolutely a good measure. Students skip the classes because most of the classes only count 80 percentage attendance and some of the classes even do not take any attendance. Therefore, to tackle the problem of low attendance rate, it is better to increase the attendance requirements or even 100 percentage of compulsory attendance. Moreover, to help reducing students’ financial cost, university can provide students, for those who are having morning classes, with free breakfast.
To conclude, it is impossible for (that) the university to cancel the morning classes even though it causes the problems of low attendance rate and increase students’ financial cost. And it is believe that if the aforementioned measures are followed, these two problems can be effectively solved.
