Saturday, May 2nd

"Hands on San Diego" sponsored by Volunteer Connections

Tentative Event Schedule:
  7:30 am -   8:15 am: Check-in/ Breakfast
  8:15 am -   9:00 am: Keynote Speaker/ Departure for projects (carpools arranged)
  9:00 am - 12:30 pm: Project Participation
12:30 pm -   1:30 pm: Lunch and Raffle at Sun God Lawn


Participate in one of several community service projects around San Diego:


1) Special Olympics

Helping at the San Diego Regional Games, assisting athletes in a variety of sports as well as helping with the actual execution of the event.

2) Ruffin Canyon Restoration
Planting and helping with the beautification of open park space.

3) Weed Warriors
Protect Tecolote Canyon through preservation of land.

4) Stay Classy Concert Preparation
Assist in preparation of venue- proceeds go towards building a shelter for young adults in San Diego.

5) Friends of Famosa Slough
The main goals of Friends of Famosa Slough are to help restore the slough and to promote public awareness of the importance of wetlands.
