The Attitudometer...a real-time virtual polling tool

What exactly does it do?
The Attitudometer is a Second Life / Open Sim facilitation tool that allows you to display a real-time average of participant sentiment in 3D.  Participants cast their vote of "AGREE", DISAGREE", or "NEUTRAL" via either a Heads Up Display (accessible only to them) or a vote station.  The glowing disk in the 3D gauge moves higher while turning green as the collective sentiment approaches Agreement, and moves lower while turning red as more participants express Disagreement.

Setting up your Attitudometer
1.  Drag and drop the Attitudometer from your Second Life or Open Sim inventory into the area.
2.  To reposition it, RIGHT CLICK, EDIT, then drag it to the desired spot using the editing arrows.
3.  Once positioned, touch the blue button (right button) to activate the admin features.
4.  Choose "Rez Gauge" to cause the gauge & one vote station to appear.
5.  OPTIONAL:  If you want a 2nd gauge, just reposition the silver Attitudometer base and rez another gauge.

Customizing the labels

So you don't like the + and - labels at the top and bottom of the gauge?  You can easily customize:
To CHANGE the displayed texture:  TOUCH the label.  It will tell you all textures that are available. Then chat the number of the texture you want displayed.
To ADD A NEW texture: RIGHT CLICK, select OPEN, then drag the texture from your inventory to the OBJECT CONTENTS window.

How to operate
Touch the red/green button on the base to activate the gauge. Activating will cause the tool to begin calculating and displaying participant votes.  Stopping it freezes the gauge and no longer accepts votes.

Touching the blue or right button will activate the admin features.

Rez Gauge    Creates a new gauge and vote station
Clean Up    Deletes all elements of the Attitudometer once your done.
Reset    Will reset the gauge back to the middle
Set Reset    Sets an automatic reset at a certain interval of time
+ Station    Adds another Vote Station for use

FYI:  The tool allows voters to change their vote as often as needed, but it only changes their one vote, so you don't get one person intentionally or unintentinally inflating the results.  If you have several people participate then leave during the event, then it is good practice to reset the gauge.  You can reset during an event, and even set the tool to auto reset at a set interval of time.

How participants obtain an Attitude HUD so they can vote
Participants simply touch the silver base portion of the Attitudometer to receive their voting HUD.  You can also choose to give a HUD to them individually if desired.

How participants attach and use their HUD
When participants receive their HUD, they hear the following instructions:
Greetings.  An Attitudometer HUD (Heads Up Display) will now appear in your inventory.  If you would like to participate in the attitude polling, simply:
1.  locate the object (search your inventory for 'Attitude HUD'),
2.  right click it,
3.  choose 'ATTACH TO HUD', and 'CENTER 2'.
The HUD will appear visible to you, but no one else.

As soon as they attach their HUD, participants hear:
HUD is now added.  When the moderator is ready, simply touch the buttons to 'AGREE' 'DISAGREE' or to be 'NEUTRAL'.
To reposition me:
1.  right click on me,
2.  choose edit,
3.  drag me using the arrows to the desired position.
