3. How does Shaara demonstrate the complexities of the Civil War in the novel?
4. How does the changing point of view affect the reader of the novel?  What are the advantages and disadvantages of this kind of P.O.V.?
5. How do the leadership philosophies of Chamberlain and Lee reflect their personalities and roles in the conflict?  What are the strengths and weaknesses of each philosophy?
