Sheikh Umar Al-Ashar …missing

Story: In the time of Sheikh Ibne Taymyaah one sheikh claimed to have super natural powers. Anybody would be easily deceived by his acts. Ibne Taymyyah challenged him. He (pseudo sheikh) asked Ibne Taymyyah to put his hands in bag full of coins and take out the coins and count them and this sheikh without looking would be able to tell how many coins he is holding in his hands. Sheikh Ibne Taymyyah put his hand in the bag grabbed coins and kept his fist closed and tight and asked the pseudo sheikh how many coins is he holding? The man guessed it and it turned out to be wrong. People asked Ibne Taymmyah how did you defeat him? He said it was easy. Whenever someone would take out the coins and count the Jinn would count with him and Jinn would tell this man the right number. When I grabbed the coins I didn’t open and count the number so I didn’t know how many were in my hand neither could Jinn count.

Story: Dr. Abdul Azez Ahmed was one of the friend or acquaintance of Sheikh Waleed. He was in Dubai and there was famous magic show going on. He decided to meet the magician and asked about his magic. He told something to the effect that Allah protects the believers. The magician attested to the fact by sharing a story of his life. I used to do a magic trick by putting 6 knives in my chest . Jinn would enter in my body and knives would be entering inside him not in my body. One day I was performing on stage and I saw a man with beard entered in theater/auditorium. He was reciting something. While I was doing my act all of a sudden the Jinn that entered in my body fled. I started bleeding so badly. I was in the hospital for four months. Later on I called my Jinn and asked why did you go. He said this beard man recited something so strong we had to flee out of the country. The Sheikh asked the magician didn’t you try to harm the beard man? He said of course he caused so much pain to me for two years I sent 100s of Jinns but all of them return without been able to harm him as he is protected. He never misses a single salah.

OPENING

Hadith of Jibreel

One day sahaba saw a man who walked and sat by the prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam

He said, “Tell me about Eeman.” He (the prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) replied, “It is to believe in Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Last Day and to believe in Divine Destiny (Al-Qadar), both the good and the evil of it.” He said, “You have spoken rightly”.

In another narration there is a variation in this hadith with the addition of “to believe in hereafter and the balance”.

Sahaba were shocked and asked the prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam who is this man?

Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam responded, this was Jibreel, he came to teach your religion.

CHAPTER ONE: BELIEFS IN THE ANGELS

What are the Malaikha (Angels)?

Linguistic definition of Malaikha: Plural of Malak

Example of pig?

The point sheikh was trying to make was you have to understand the culture of the language. To understand what these words mean in this time. For instance some times we use negative words to describe something cool. Dwag or this is trash….man.

For instance the word Saa’ can mean watch or 60 min. Is this the right meaning? In regards to acceptance of Duaa prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam described whoever makes dua in the last part of Juma his dua will be accepted. It’s a short period of time. It can’t mean ‘watch’. Also you can’t replace the word Ilm with knowledge. As the word Ilm carries deeper meaning.

Some scholar say comes from Maalik (honor) or some say mulik (to take with great strength) and you will find most Arabic scholar say it comes from Al-Aluka which means message. They are very close meaning if you look each other. The angel will give take the message from God, take it with great strength.

There is a difference between linguistic meaning and technical meaning. For example Salah linguistically means Duaa. Linguistically you prayed Isha if you make duaa. Technically its not right. It has certain timing, certain process. Zakah means increasing. There is always link between linguistic and technical meaning. All of the salah is about duaa. Zakah you do for the sake of Allah.

Sometimes shariah would not define word technically, it will be difined by customs or the people used in that culture.

Technically speaking: Malaika are benelovent beings, created from light, don’t possess free will and carry out certain functions by Allah.

A Common Misconception: Angeles are creatures of light that have no physical attributes.

Dangerous definition written in misconception of malalika. It says they are not physical beings. But angels do have physical attributes. Al Quran

Surah 6 vers 93

93: Muhsin Khan: And who can be more unjust than he who invents a lie against Allah, or says: "I have received inspiration," whereas he is not inspired in anything; and who says, "I will reveal the like of what Allah has revealed." And if you could but see when the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong­doers, etc.) are in the agonies of death, while the angels are stretching forth their hands (saying): "Deliver your souls! This day you shall be recompensed with the torment of degradation because of what you used to utter against Allah other than the truth. And you used to reject His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) with disrespect!"

 

93: Yusuf Ali: Who can be more wicked than one who inventeth a lie against Allah, or saith, "I have received inspiration," when he hath received none, or (again) who saith, "I can reveal the like of what Allah hath revealed"? If thou couldst but see how the wicked (do fare) in the flood of confusion at death! - the angels stretch forth their hands, (saying),"Yield up your souls: this day shall ye receive your reward,- a penalty of shame, for that ye used to tell lies against Allah, and scornfully to reject of His signs!"

1: Muhsin Khan: All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the (only) Originator [or the (only) Creator] of the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels messengers with wings, - two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Verily, Allah is Able to do all things.

Some of them have two wings, some have four. So wings are physical description. They write it’s a physical attribute, They talk which is a physical attribute. Also Prophet told angels made tawaaf, angels who carry through….??? missing. 500 years from ear to shoulder.

• Very clear physical descriptions for angels

• Those who deny their physical attributes are usually one who copy that they don’t analyze the word. If you go to the root you will understand. You will see philosopher or Muslim who hold these positionsthey got it from Greek. They believe angels are nothing but prophet imagined.

How do Others view Angles?

Philosophers view: Its figment of the prophets’ imaginations.

Prophets are so pure or cave or dark places. He purifies himself and these voices are just sounds and they think they are angels. These voices are from nature. They don’t agree with

Ibne sina or Alfarabi they viewed god existence very different way. God exist in your brain. For instance, mind does exist but you can’t see it neither can you touch it. That’s god. This is the clearest Kufr. Even Iblees believes Allah exist.

Allah says in Surah baqarah verse 2:96-97

96: Muhsin Khan: And verily, you will find them (the Jews) the greediest of mankind for life and (even greedier) than those who - ascribe partners to Allah (and do not believe in Resurrection - Magians, pagans, and idolaters, etc.). Everyone of them wishes that he could be given a life of a thousand years. But the grant of such life will not save him even a little from (due) punishment. And Allah is All-Seer of what they do.

97: Muhsin Khan: Say (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ): "Whoever is an enemy to Jibrael (Gabriel) (let him die in his fury), for indeed he has brought it (this Quran) down to your heart by Allah's Permission, confirming what came before it [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and guidance and glad tidings for the believers.

Christians View:
Angles of God, They distinguish between good and bad angels. Satan or Iblees or demon they basically fallen against god. Angels appear in humans but not…missing . Angels are often depicted in wings. Scholastic. There are also guardian angels. Christian also believe intermediaries to some forces. The moving of the star and sun are done by angels. Modern belief ????? has no….missing

Al-Quran:

2:98. "Whoever is an enemy to Allâh, his angels, his Messengers, Jibrael (Gabriel) and Mikael (Michael), Then Verily, Allâh is an enemy to the disbelievers."

As for us (Muslims) it’s the pillar of eman. Allah created the angels, with some of them 35:1

 

Muhsin Khan: All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the (only) Originator [or the (only) Creator] of the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels messengers with wings, - two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Verily, Allah is Able to do all things.

285: Muhsin Khan: The Messenger (Muhammad SAW) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say, "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)." Surah Baqarah verse 285

Allah says Aaamaanur rasoola. It is so common beliefing Allah and believing in Angels. The reason behind this order is that because they (angels) are the connection as they took the message (book) and brought the message. Commonly the third pillar is books.

Believing in angels in second pillar is based from Quran, Sunnah.

As-Sunnah:

The Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam said, “Eeman is to believ ein Allah, and His Angels, and His books…).” [Al-Bukharee and Muslim]

By Ijma (Consensus of the scholar): Need verification ….for text below

Ibn Hazm mentioned the consensuss on this issue in this book Maratib Al-ijma. Ibn Taymiyyah and others also resported this consensus. (consensus of the scholar)

An Nawwai also states missing…. There is consensus among the shaafi. Technically its not consensus in all the madahib.

Ibne Hazm

Logic:

Beliving in the Quran and messenger necessitates belief in the angles. So if you don’t belief in angel you contradict your belief in Quran or how the whole message came.

Required Beliefs:

• Believing in Angles is part of eeman. The details are not part of eeman such as wings and looks.

• But names such as Chief Angel Malik for hell fire. There is no proof of Israel. Munkar and Nakeer are the angels they question in the grave.

• There is debate about scholar is if Munkar or Nakeer are names or description. According to Ibne Taymmayah said its names.

• About the matter of unseen we can’t take it for granted. We have to have a proof otherwise we can’t take it part of our belief. It has to be authentic sound.

• Jibreel is in charge of message.

• Mikaail is for vegetation.

• Israfil will blow the trumpet. Eel means rasool. Jibreel or Jibrael spelled or pronounced two different ways is the one who assists with the message.

• As salaat is the protection for the momin. The similitude of momin is that he enter the castle and lock the castle. Castle is Dhikr Allah.

• Surah 66 v 6. “O You who believe! ward off from yourselves and Your families a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the commands they receive from Allâh, but do that which they are commanded”. .

Q&A Session:

Jibreel was putting the mud into pharohs mouth. How can he disobey? How come we can contradict? Jibreel in order to protect the honor of Allah was trying to prevent Pharoah to say Allah’s name as its pure and it doesn’t befit to come out of Pharoahs name. There is place in order to protect the honor of.

Can humans see Angels? Jabir radi Allah anhu also saw JIbreel when he came to remind prophet Sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam the rights of neighbor until the prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam got concerned that he might ask them to be part of inheritence. Mary also the angels. Lut also saw when three angels… came Mikail, israfeel. Missing….

Angels being part of unseens is a mercy from Allah.

Out of Allah’s mercy He made them a part of unseen.. Imagine if you can see the unseen and you go on driving on the road.  Allah u Akbar. So we can walk in this earth with tranquility.

Characterstics of Angels:

• They were created (from of the book). Ibne Qayyam every order is carried by Angels. Prophet sal Allah ualayhi wa sallam. Sun will be moved by angels. Angels are

• They don’t disobey their lord. The verse above Surah 6 verse 66.

• .They have levels or hierarchy exist. Chief of Angels i.e Jibreel. Rayees ul malaikah. Jibreel said the best of angels who witnessed Badr.

• Surah Takweer vs. 19

• “ Verily, This is the word (this Qur'ân brought by) a Most honourable Messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allâh to the Prophet Muhammad (Sal-Allaahu 'alayhe Wa Sallam)].

• They don’t have a gender. Whats the proof. When Kuffar said Allah rejected the idea that they are females.

• They have wings. Jibreel has 500 wings.

• They have the ability to change forms. Waz kur fil kitab maryam ( Surah 19:16 Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.) we also discussed example earlier.

• Aisha reported prophet sal allah u alayhi wa sallam once standing talking to man he looked like Dahil kalbee. Then she said why did he was on horse and you were standing. It wasn’t good manner. Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam said did you see the man, it was jibreel and he send salam.

• They are not tired. They praise. surah 21 verse 20

• “they (i.e. the angels) glorify his praises night and day, (and) they never slacken (to do so)”.

• They don’t eat or drink. As Ibrahim offered them food but they didn’t eat.

• They have Hayyah or modesty being shy in. Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam have compared Hayaa of Uthman that angels are shy from him (uthman radi Allah anhu).

• Angles fear Allah subhanah Surah Anbiyaah Surah 21 verse 28

• “He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they cannot intercede except for Him with whom He is pleased. and they stand In awe for fear of Him”.

• They are harmed by that harms people. Prophet said if you eat Garlic don’t come to the masjid. That harms angels and Muslims. Don’t spit in front. Spit on the left. Neither on it as its right side. In front of you is Allah and right hand is angel. Someone would ask how Allah can be in front of you? One example to understand is of Sun. For so many people Sun can be in front of them.

• If you smoke the breath of the smoke which harms human will also harm angels.

• They love the righteous and pray for them. So many things you do and will pray for you and ask Allah to riase your status. Surah 42. Verse 5

• 

• 5: Muhsin Khan: Nearly the heavens might rent asunder from above them (by His Majesty), and the angels glorify the praises of their Lord, and ask for forgiveness for those on the earth, verily, Allah is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful”. The sunnah full of example. 1. Those who teach and learn the hadith of learning. Narrated by Tirmidhi. Those who lead prayer in the masjid or come to the masjid. Those who pray in the first line. Those who stay after the prayer. Angels will keep making dua. Also those who eat Suhoor for siyaam, those who find space in line and fill the line. Angel will pray for you. Those who make salaat and salam on prophet. Those who visit sick. In the night Allah sends 70,000 angels they make istighfar for you until morning. Also Allah said pray Surah Ahzab v 43. Also when you make dua for a brother angel will make same dua. Also angels will make taameem on your dua. Also in On salaatul Juma or ask Allah accept the dua of the believer. If you are in funeral anything you ask angels will say amen. Angels will lower the wings on the student of knowledge. Whenever you walk to learn they lower their wings. Picture is when you walk when they put the right hand that’s how angel respect you. Because you became very dear person to Allah.

• That’s why Ibne Mubarak…missing.. Also attend funerals of saad ibne muaad. His funerals was witnessed by 70,000 angels. Ask for forgivness.

• They curse in certain situation. Surah baqarah 2:161.

  
• “Verily, those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers, it is they on whom is the Curse of Allâh and of the angels and of mankind, combined”.

• If a person presents iron stick pointing at someone even in joke the angel will curse until he puts out of the face of the other person. They curse disbelievers. Only exception is for training purposes But jokingly would. Whoever curses companions Allah will curse them reported by Tabarani.

• Innovators will be cursed by angels and the supporters of innovators. Also one who commited majors sins in haram.

• And are verily ranged in ranks for service ( 37:165)

• “Verily, we (angels), we stand In rows for the prayers (as You Muslims stand In rows for Your prayers);”

• They celebrate His praise night and day and never do they lag or intermit.

The Wisdom behind their Creation

General:

• All angels were created to worship Allah and gorlify him.

• To deliver message of Allah to all the prophets

• Hell fire is under Maalik. 19 angels guard hellfire under Malik. Allah says that we created number fitnah (to see who will believe and who will not). Don’t question His wisdom. Some asked why 19 why not 20.

• Also Angels are incharge of paradise. Tthey welcome the believers and open the gates. Their role is to take care of paradise.

• Every human being has angels writing their deeds. Even in some scholar say that there is another book every thing you say it will be documented. Once Aisha was in Umrah. Two sisters keep talking. She got sick of them. She said why don’t give your angels a break (Aisha) (from writing).

• When you do a good deed angels immediately write it. But some scholar say six hours (saa’aa) or period of time will be the delay for sin. And angels would say he/she will repent it will be under written good deed if he repents before they write.

• Surah Baqarah the duaa we all pray in the end of the last verses of the Quran. He taught us three things for your forgivness. Afu, means when something doesn’t exist anymore. For example foot print doesn’t exist anymore on the beach when when waves of ocean come to the end. That happens when you immediately ask for forgivness. It will not be written against you. Sometimes you don’t do it right away. “Ighfir Lana”. Which means cover Mighfar is a protection or something to cover head. Basicallly something you sinned it will maghrfira and it will not harm you. How can sin be covered by 10 ways.

1. Good deeds willl take away bad deeds

2. Tawba you repent.

3. Trials will cover.

4. Famous 10 list is Mukaafiratul Zunoob. Ibne Hajar wrote the book.

• The third stages which is you ask for Allah’s mercy. If you don’t do the first two. Angels you write actions for heart. The mercy you’ve in your heart for people or animal. Bad deed in heart envy, jealousy or evil to others be documented. What about the thoughts? Bad thoughts are not written until it changes into actions.

• One role of angel is to show you good dreams

• Bad dreams are from shaitan. When you sleep your soul leave the body. Sometimes will angel will show you good dreams. Sometimes shaitan

• Hulum = bad dreams . Some are thoughts it has nothing to do with angels or Jinns. This hadith of nafs.

• Requests when you make du`a' from the last ayah in Baqarah:
  
  1) `Afw - the sin doesn't exist at all anymore in your record - completely whipped out.
  
  2) Maghfirah -  What if you don't ask for forgiveness immediately? then you ask for maghfirah ( = protection) because it is documented against you. (Maybe it took you yrs to change your way of life?) How can the sin be covered? 10 ways 1) Good deeds 2) Sickness 3) Struggles in your life 4) Intercession on the day of Judgement.. etc. (10 famous ways = Mukathirat az-zunoob)
  
  3) Rahma - What if you didn't do enough to wipe it out? What is left for you? Allah's (swt) mercy.
  
  Angels even write the good deeds of your heart. ex: Mercy in your heart for humans/animals, patience, etc. Bad deeds of the heart (envy, jealousy, hate, etc.) are also documents. Bad thoughts are not documented unless it takes places. There is a special angel that are to show you the good dreams. (Bad dreams are from shaytan).

• Allah have appointed angels in front of you and behind you to protect you. Ibne Abbas have angels are protecting you so many things that will make you die until your time comes. Sometimes you realize the angels protect you. Subahan’Allah the

Story: A man coming or going (can’t remember) to grocery store. He opened his door and took out his one foot. For some reason he put his foot back for few seconds a car came and passed taking out the open door but leaving that man unharmed. I think sheikh went and asked him what made him put his foot back in the car. Rest Missing…

• of the accident and grocery story. Allah have given Muaaqibaat.

• If you have one jinn there are 4 angels to protect you. Allah protects you in so many ways. Insects crawl in the night they can enter your mouth, nose or ears. But Allah has setup protection for you.

• Larry Shaire story…missing. He was leaving for flight and changed his mind. Air plane crashed and no one survived. You feel this way.

• Moving of stars are done by angels. All over the universe. So there are specific reasons for their creations There are a lot in number.

• Surah Muddaassir 74 verse 31

• Aand we have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire, and we have fixed their number (19) Only as a trial for the disbelievers, In order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [That This Qur'ân is the Truth as it agrees with their Books i.e. their number (19) is written In the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and the believers may increase In faith (as This Qur'ân is the truth) and that no doubts may be left for the people of the Scripture and the believers, and that those In whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers may say: "What Allâh intends by This (curious) example ?" Thus Allâh leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. and none can know the hosts of Your Lord but He. and This (Hell) is nothing else than a (warning) Reminder to mankind”.

• No one can count how many soldier of Allah exist.

• In the seventh sky exist baitaul mamoor equal to kaaba. He (prophet sal Allah) saw Ibrahim alayhi salaam sitting against that house . There are 70,000 angels enter this house every day and they never return. How many of them are out there.

• Also prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam said hell fire will be tied with 70,000 ropes and each rope is held by 70,000 angels just to hold the hellfire. Multiply them There are millions and billions of Angels....

• Imagine 2 writing deeds according to some opinoion 4 protect you.

• One wisdom in their creation is that Allah is showing you His might

EFFECTS OF BELIEF IN THE ANGELS ON THE LIFE OF THE MUSLIM:

• Protects from false beliefs and heresy

• If you know that you are praying alone. Or you know that many creations are doing same what you are doing. They are also doing to protect you. You feel honored.

• Also Adam your father. Angels were asked to prostrate. They pray for you. Prophet sal Allahualayhi wa sallam. In the night of Qadr. The no of angels coming down to the earth as much as the sand of the earth and the rains…missing. All of them asking to accept fast for you. That’s why it’s (laylat ul Qadr) called night of power. For seeking forviness. For the night of Al Qadr.

• Helps the believers to be patient. Jibreel came to the prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam from the trip of At-Ta’if with the angels of the mountain to give him the option of punishment. He will bring victory to the believers.

• Allah used to destroy the disbelievers. He stopped doing that after the nation of Musa said, “Let God take care of it”. Since this time Allah asked humans to earn respect.

• It shows the honor of believers and bring shyness to disobey Allah subahanwa ta’ala. When you realize you are alone in front of the internet. Allah is watching you and angels are watching feeling sad that you are falling from the eyes. They are witnessing it. This will help you to be away. You will feel that when you repent. Thisaid the believers.

• Question was raised who is higher or righteous human beings? This was raised by Al Mutazillah. There is no way you can resolve this dispute, do you know why. Because issues can be seen from different perspective. Different example male better females another perspective female better than males. We have to decide from which angel you are looking. They will never come to an agreement. That’s the mistake.

• The Ashaaria always responded to Moatazillah. They always came with a reaction. They were extreme group who forced to follow certain ideologies. They refuted them and. Ashaaria have two opinions

• a- Shia belief imams are way better than angels. Others have had different opinions on whether righteous people are better or angels.

• b…missing

• Ibn Taymiyyah said it depends on perspective - if you look at angels in a worldly perspective, angels don't sin but even righteous people do, so angels are better. But if you look at it from the akhirah in jannah, righteous people can be higher. In the end, he said there is no point in discussing it because there is no benefit in knowing who is better.

How CAN WE UNDERSTAND FOLLOWING TWO VERSES

2:34

34: Muhsin Khan: And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves before Adam.". And they prostrated except Iblis (Satan), he refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers (disobedient to Allah).

• Does this mean that Iblees was an angel? There are some known scholars who said yes, that he was an angel and the one exception who disobey. But the vast majority of scholars said this is wrong and came from dealings with disbelievers. There is proof in Qur'an for him being a jinn:

• Allah clearly says in Surah Kahaf verse 18:50 that iblees was from Jinns. He was not from angles. He made it very clear. “He was one of the jinn and he disobeyed His lord”. Also said clearly in Surah 15 verse 27

• “ and the jinn, we created aforetime from the smokeless flame of Fire”.

• Jinn created from fire.

• Why Iblees was created from fire. And he disobeyed saying he was created from fire. Since he was created from fire Angel were created from light.

• Al-Hasan al-Basri said that Iblees was never an angel, he was always a jinn. Ibn Taymiyyah said that Allah gave him the shape of an angel because of his righteousness, so he was with them. Others said that when Allah gave them the order to prostrate, Iblees was with them not from them. You can say "the students are from the Bay Area" even if a few are not.

CLARIFICATION FOR SECOND VERSE:

102: Muhsin Khan: They followed what the Shayatin (devils) gave out (falsely of the magic) in the lifetime of Sulaiman (Solomon). Sulaiman did not disbelieve, but the Shayatin (devils) disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels, Harut and Marut, but neither of these two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, "We are only for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us)." And from these (angels) people learn that by which they cause separation between man and his wife, but they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's Leave. And they learn that which harms them and profits them not. And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (magic) would have no share in the Hereafter. And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their ownselves, if they but knew.

• These verses talking about a claim some Jews raised.

• They said first magician was Sulaiman as he was controlling Jinn. Mostly those who controlling Jinns are magicians.

• Babylon is in Iraq. When Harut and Marut were mentioned in this verse. We just said angels will not do sin. Magic is Kufr. How come two angels teaching sin? How is that possible? Some scholar said malaikan means two kings not two angels. In a different Qiraaat read by Abdullah ibne missing… and.

• This is about two kings who have two names. This opnion was mentioned by Ibne Hatim. Other scholar said “the two kings are not human but from Jinns” they are from tribe harut and marut ibne hazm opinion.

• Al Qurtubi had another twist “ Maa” it comes to affirm or deny. Maa here means teaching magic. Al qurutbi says maa is to negate as what Allah is saying they follow what shayateen taught they didn’t follow. Those who taught magic were not two angels neither Sulaiman.

• Alquratabi was so confident that he said that no other opinion should be considered. No one else supports his claim. Books of tafseer explains that they were two angels didn’t commit sins they were doing what Allah ordered them to do. It was a test from Allah to see who will see in front of him the power of magic and he will avoid the power to learn and use it.

• Others such as Ibn Jarir said that the angels were not committing sins, but they were doing what Allah ordered them. It was a test to have people see magic and not fall into it. This is the clearer understanding of the mufassireen.

• Sometimes for means Allah make haram easy. He makes a lot of money so accsssible it’s a test. Even if it’s a successful. These angels even said will they will become kaafir. Nothing contradicts our belief. These angels never ocmmmited shirk or kufr they just obeyed Allah.

Angels don’t enter where:

• Ibne Hassan had a puppy and tied to his beds. Prophet didn’t enter the house as angels didn’t enter. Angels will not enter a house where dog is inside.

• Also he said Angels won’t enter the house where there are pictures. Also who is bad to his parents.

• Angels won’t enter in the bathrooms. So if I go to the bathroom. What does that mean? Some scholar says they will not enter literally. They can do their job from outside. Some scholar said angels of mercy will not enter but others writing deeds will. Hadith taking clearly about hanging pictures. If its displayed but not in a honored way. For example on the car sheet and tigers it should be okay….need verification… wallahu ta’la Alam.

Q&A Session: Dreams has some symbolic things. Giving glad tidings to people. These meaning can be drived from Quran sunnah or culture of the person. Once ibne Sireen interpreted following dream “I am holding a cup a glass of water. All of sudden glass broke and water remained”. He said Prophet gave an example of woman through glass. And water is your water and son will live but mother will die. That’s exactly what happened.

Someone else came and ask the interpretation of the following dream with Ibne Sireen. “I am carrying the funeral of prophet”. Ibne Sireen asked “Are you attending the class of innovators? By attending you are burying the sunnah.

Ibne Bass said “I saw myself calling adhaan”. One person that one going to hajj. The other person first missing…. I remembered verse “Allah called adhaan related to hajj”. When I saw the other person he had fear in his face. He didn’t look I connected the verse in the Quran Surah Yusuf.

A woman said she keep saying herself walking on particular shoes on throne while every body is standing. Sheikh said do you’ve any problems. Sheikh said bring your shoes. He took the shoes and looked to the heel of the shoes. They found below the heel ayatul Kursi written. It was a part of magic.

Story: Once Sheikh told “A sister came and told she had a baby few years back. She saw in her dereams to use this wood and this will prevent miscarriage. She woke up and found that wood next to her she didn’t do anything and she got miscarriage. When next time she got pregnant she saw same dream again this time she didn’t ignore the advise and her baby survived. The third time she saw same dream again this time she didn’t pay attention and miscarriage happened. Fourth time she got pregnant she saw the dream again and her baby survived. She saw that dream 4 timesSheikh Bin Baaz also answered. We believe that humans or angels or Jinns they might help. This becomes in a form of medicine. She used it and she survived. It happens very. But keep in mind dreams can’t legislate. Go to cave and make two rakah. No we don’t accept legislation from dreams. . Need verification for the story details….

If you make dua against someone and it is wrong reason/slander it will go back to you. If its justice it will go against that person.

Angels dua are good as they are more pure. Imagine you ask the dua for someone and a purer creation makes dua for you.

CHAPTER TWO: BELIEF IN THE JINN

What are the Jinns?

• Liguistically means in Arabic. Arabic Jannah means invisible, concealed seclude. They can see you from a position where you can’t see them.

• Technically: Accountable beings, made from fire. they have special abilities unlike those of humans. Humans are superior creation way over Jinns. They are way higher and capabilities than Jinn and Allah gives so many example in Quran. We will touch some points. They have special abilities. When you take off your clothes and say Bismillah they can’ tsee your body.

• Jinns have various names. Also knows Ifreet named used in Quran which means a Jinn means who has super power or higher or stronger capabilities.

• Then term related shayaateen. Only to refers to Jinn who are disbelievers.

• Jinns could be muslim not muslim. Shayateen are non believer Jinns.

• Al Raah is also referred or Ghost in English.

HOW DO OTHERS VIEW JINNS?

PAGAN VIEW

• Daughers of Allah but some said sons of Allah. One common belief that was god and satan were two brother. They fought and satan. Evil belief. Can you See Jinns in Original form?

• Iblees came in the assembly of pagan Arabs. Shaitan was planning assisting for assassination of Muhammad Sal Allahu alyhi wa sallam. When he suggested that each man from different tribes should participate in assassinating Muhammad sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam.

• In battle of badr they took human forms.

How can Jinn’s be punished with fire, when they themselves are created from it?

Who is Ashaytaan?

• He is Iblees. According to Ibne Taymyyah Adam is the father of all humans. Iblees is the father of all Jinns. Surah Kahaf verse 50, Surah 37 verse 64-65 Don’t take Iblees and his children.

• The two fathers always were in conflict from the beginning. Devil will never be your friend or your advisor he is the enemy of human. “Don’t ever take shaytan in public and in secret your best friend” as said by a great scholar _________

WISDOM behind the creation of Ash-Shaytaan

Remember Shaytan wasn’t created evil in the beginning. We don’t believe that something evil created from. So many lessons from the existence of Shaytan. Ibne Qayyam in his book Shifa Al aleel mentioned 200 reasons.

1. Strength the ability of Allah to create two opposite

2. You should fear sin. Don’t ever commit sin thinking that its small sin. You don’t know what it can lead you to. He started only not making one sujood where did he end up. For us we need to take heed.

3. Also test for humanity. If there is no point for sending messenger, there is no shaytan every one is good. He created humans to go through these tests.

4. Appreciate the opposite. You never appreciate the health until you walk in the hospital. You don’t appreciate being righteous until you see evil doers.

5. If there is no shaytan so many meaning of attributes have no meaning. For instance you commit sin how would you repent. How can you say Al-Ghaffoor

6. So many acts of worship are not possible if shaytaan doesn’t exist.

7. Showing Allah’s patience that Allah let him live long life. He will live all these long time. Some scholars say that it’s a reward for his good deeds. Allah rewarded him for good deeds he did in the past. He has already been given the reward. Some scholar say it’s a form of punishment. Its not honoring to live longer. Which means he will commit more sins.

8. Scholar said to be fair with the test for all humanity. So those people who were in a different time had to deal with shaytan but if he dies we don’t have that fitnah. Equal test for all humanity.

Shaytaan is our ENERMY to you so treat him as an enemy. 35:6

6: Muhsin Khan: Surely, Shaitan (Satan) is an enemy to you, so take (treat) him as an enemy. He only invites his Hizb (followers) that they may become the dwellers of the blazing Fire.

• You always should be aware and think about your enemy that he/she might be plotting against you.

• He is an expert enemy. He knows you very well. He is aware of very thing. He never quits never take a single day off or vacation. 24/7 working on you.

• Unlimited accessing whispering to you. Playing with your head, heart. Coming to you in so many forms. Come to you in dreams. Prophet sal Allah ualayhni “He runs through you like blood runs in your viens”.

• Also it has a lot of powers. It aids him to come to dealing with your deception.

• Don’t ever under estimate power.

• You can defeat him in one word. Audhu Billah. Shaytan will become so small like a fly. Allah says My true believers you’ve no control over them.

• Shaytaan says “I (shaytan) asked you and you responded to my call. Shaytan can’t force you to do something. It will ask you or debate with you and that’s how he can deceive people or mislead them.

• His animosity appeared in so many forms. Prophet said Every single human when they are born . They shaytan will poke a new born. What kind of heart someone would have that they don’t have mercy for a new born. He can’t do anything. That shows you so much deep hatred in his heart. It hates you for just being human.

• He came to scare you in dreams. Prophet said don’t leave candles in the house. As in the olden days he could make them cause fire in the night.

• Cover the utensils before you go to sleep as the prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam warned us as shaytan can bring disease or plague or bacteria. The plagues are spread by help of the Jinns

• Bleeding caused after the menses might be caused by Shayteen. Some belief (don’t know the detail)

• Prophet Ayyub was caused a great deal of pain by him. Surah Saad 38 verse 41

• 

• 41: Muhsin Khan: And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)!

• Animosity humans can Jinns posses. Worst part is they deceive you. Ultimate goal is to make Kaafir. If he can commit. Goes from one stage to another.

• He made an oath from making away from right path. 35:6. Surah 6 verse 16,17.

Every human has a Qareen form the Jinn which is not Muslim

• Role of this Jinn to whisper to the person. Try to misguide. Prophet said every person has a qareen. Aisha asked the prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam even you, he sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam said my ________missing hadith. Which means that his Qareen either became Muslim or didn’t have control over.

• Surah 43: verse 36.

• 36: Muhsin Khan: And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Quran and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan ­ devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him.

• Those who don’t remember Allah says Surah 41 verse 25.

And the Word (i.e. the torment) is justified against them as it was justified against those who were among the previous generations of jinns and men that had passed away before them. Whats easy to be away or protected from them or Antidote?

• Follow Quran and sunnah

• Be with Jamah of Muslim

• Always repent and ask forgiveness

• Struggling against shaytaan is part of worship.

• One duaa prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam said to protect from Shaytan at the moment of death. Prophet said “the strongest fitnah from Shaytaan is at the moment of death. He can come at the time of death in the human form of loved one and can say Muhammad wasn’t the true prophet and religion was wrong. He will try to deceive the person some people saw as in the form of mother or father preventing to deny Muhammad. So the person can commit Shirk and die on Kufr.

Questions:

Do Kuffar fear Jinns?

• Yes Kuffar fear Jinns.

• During Ramadan the leaders of Jinns will be chained. Smaller one would be loose. Need clarification.

• At the time of sunset shayteen spread the most. They are coming out in large number. Specifically at right maghrib times as said by most of scholars.

• How Jinns will be rewarded? Paradise. Momin has firasa guidance from Allah. Allah will give them light. They just plan right. If they are righteous it will be increased even more.

• Quran didn’t tell us for a simple reason. There is no benefit if they had fitrah or not. I assume the question was if Jinn had fitrah or Angels? The answer still holds valid.

How about Qareen of the prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam?

• Scholar discussed does Prophet sal allahu aahyi wa sallam A had Qareen. Aslam = means protected from his whispers. That’s first opinion. Qareen is Non-Muslim. Another way to look is Qareen became Muslim. Both opinions are mentioned by Imam An Nawwi.

Life of Jinn

• They eat and drink. This has been reported that Shaytan eats and rink with his left hand. Disbeliever Jins eat only from food on which Allah’s name has not been pronounced. We know most Jinns come out at maghrib time.

• Trails of camels, market, shaytan lives in those places where there is a lot of cheating or deception involved. Hey Must be in senates and congress too

• Don’t sit half of shade in light and shadow as that’s how the devil sit/sleep(don’t rememeber) half in the sun and half in the shadow.

Do Jinn marry?

• As Allah says in the Quran Hoor ul ayn will be given to any Jinns or humans.

• Also Surah 18 verse 50 talks about offsprings

50: Muhsin Khan: And (remember) when We said to the angels; "Prostrate to Adam." So they prostrated except Iblis (Satan). He was one of the jinns; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord. Will you then take him (Iblis) and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather than Me while they are enemies to you? What an evil is the exchange for the Zalimun (polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc).

Can human and Jinn intermarry?

• It is mentioned it is commonly, people claimed that they are married to Jinn. Suyootee and Ibne M_________. It is possible for a male human to marry female Jinn.

• So many scholars deny the opposite that female humans can’t marry male Jinn. Islamically its not possible . Opinion of sheikh. For marriage Islamically and physically its not possible. As a woman might claim to have a child and say she was married to a Jinn.

• Surah Room verse 21.

• 21: Muhsin Khan: And among His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect.

• Possiblity of can Jinn and human have sexual relationship? Yes it can exist.

• Sheikh told about the story of the woman who was possessed by Jinn for 20 years. When he was asking the Jinn to leave he said he has been sharing this woman for 20 years. Woman’s husband and son also saw this. Later woman admitted that while she was from high school age she felt intimacy and didn’t do anything about it.

• Another story talked about the woman who had pins below her skin. Someone could easily feel but doctors with x-rays failed to find any problem. Whenever her fiancé would enter the house those bent pins will start to straighten making the woman bleed all over her body. As soon as he would leave she would be fine.

• 90% of the time people are not possessed and need psychiatric care or medical attention is needed.

Life Span of Jinns and do they die?

• Yes they die.

• Generally they have longer life.

• Prophet said one of the dua (Complete the duaa if you know or refer to it). You (Allah) never die but jinns and human do).

• Surah 55 verse 26

• 26: Muhsin Khan: Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish.

• Jinns take often the shape of snake. Ask them to leave the house three times. “I ask you to leave by the name of Allah”. If they don’t leave then you’ve every right to kill them.

• Except three types of snakes can’t take the form of Jinns. They will never take the shape Rattle snakes, cobra or bald snake no hair on the head. They should be killed immediately.

• Jinns shared earth with us. Graveyards, markets lots of cheating lot of sins committed in the market. Bathroom.

• Jinn have animals. Surah 17 verse 64 .

• 64: Muhsin Khan: "And Istafziz [literally means: befool them gradually] those whom you can among them with your voice (i.e. songs, music, and any other call for Allah's disobedience), make assaults on them with your cavalry and your infantry, mutually share with them wealth and children (by tempting them to earn money by illegal ways usury, etc., or by committing illegal sexual intercourse, etc.), and make promises to them." But Satan promises them nothing but deceit.

• Prophet said In every dung you’ve food for your riding animals.

Is the Black dog a shaytan? As some where referred in some hadith.

No they were referring to certain type of dog in actions.

Abilities of the Jinn

Surah 27:39-40

39: Muhsin Khan: An Ifrit (strong) from the jinns said: "I will bring it to you before you rise from your place (council). And verily, I am indeed strong, and trustworthy for such work."

40: Muhsin Khan: One with whom was knowledge of the Scripture said: "I will bring it to you within the twinkling of an eye!" then when [Sulaiman (Solomon)] saw it placed before him, he said: "This is by the Grace of my Lord to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! And whoever is grateful, truly, his gratitude is for (the good of) his ownself, and whoever is ungrateful, (he is ungrateful only for the loss of his ownself). Certainly! My Lord is Rich (Free of all wants), Bountiful."

• They have ability

Jinn’s Weaknessses

• They fear some believers. About the hadith of Umar. Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam said Whatever path Umar take shaytan takes a different path.

• Their powers are limited.

• Surah 26:212.

• 212: Muhsin Khan: Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it.

• Before they used to be able to listen to the commands of Allah from the first sky (as I remember please correct it). After prophet Muhammad sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam was sent that avenue was closed. They didn’t have that access.

• Surah 17:88

• 

• 88: Muhsin Khan: Say: "If the mankind and the jinns were together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another."

• Shaytan can’t come in the shape of Muhammad sal allahu alayhi wa sallam. He can come in shape of a human but claim to be prophet

Also told Allah said.

“O Humans and Jinns if you get out of this universe but you can’t . They can’t leave. We are limited beyond first sky. Reference missing...

• They can’t open the door or uncover the utensils. They don’t have much power that allow them to do everything. Humans in earth were able to utilize natural resources because of their capabilities. That’s not true that Jinns being superior. Allah gives a nice example. Jinns were working for Sulaiman. Sulaim had his chin on the cane. Until ants ate the cane. He fell on his face. Jinns then realized he died. If they knew the matters of unseen how could they not see who they were working for had died for long time.

Possession:

Can the Jinn possess humans?

• Almost consensus among sunni scholars that they accept it happens.

• First group who denied were Motizilla. As human created from clay and jinn from fire. They are separate according to their understanding it wasn’t possible.

Whats the proof for the claim that humans can be possessed?

• Allah refers to people who deal with interest. They would look like on day of judgement who been possessed by Jinns.

• Surah Baqara 275.

• 275: Muhsin Khan: Those who eat Riba (usury) will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a person beaten by Shaitan (Satan) leading him to insanity. That is because they say: "Trading is only like Riba (usury)," whereas Allah has permitted trading and forbidden Riba (usury). So whosoever receives an admonition from his Lord and stops eating Riba (usury) shall not be punished for the past; his case is for Allah (to judge); but whoever returns [to Riba (usury)], such are the dwellers of the Fire - they will abide therein.

• In Musnad Imam ahmed prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam was brought a son by mother that he possessed by Jinn. He said “O enemy of Allah leave his body”. Two different incidents of prophet doing that.

• Sheikh was invited to a debate in Behrain between psychologist and scholars. He asked before starting it. I’ve two question for psychologist. 1. Do you believe in Jinns if you don’t believe in Jinns then how would you consider any patient with possibility.

• 2^nd point Its rare incident. 90% are not Jinns. How would you know how chemical balance happens or who does it. How can you deny that a Jinn didn’t make that happen or was the cause behind this.

• Biggest proof you can’t deny if certain things are unnatural being done. As example of the woman who had pins below her skin. Sheikh could feel it.

• National Geographic has a documentary named Taboo about possession. And its interpretation in different cultures and religions.

Why do Jinn Possess humans?

• Animosity and hatred.

• Magic or revenge. Person harmed the jinns.

• Adoration or lust or body of human.

• Throw trash or hot water or something or say bismillah,

Sign of someone possessed by Jinn
