The Dashboard- Blog Management Central
The Dashboard is where you will go to manage your blog. You will see several main tabs there.
- Write- This tab is where you go to write or edit a post, page, or link. With most blogging software, you don't need to know HTML. If you can use Word, you can create a post.
- Manage- This tab allows you to manage different features of your blog. You can edit or delete posts, pages, links, categories, and more.
- Design- This tab allows you to change the look of your blog and add widgets to it. Widgets are little applets you can install on your page to make it more interesting, useful, or just busy.
- Comments- This tab allows you to control the comments on your blog. If you are using a blog at school, this is a tab you'll use frequently!
Purpose
- What do you want to achieve with your blog?
- Who will be the primary user of the blog?
- Is your blog for informing parents, communicating and organizing students, or promoting discussion?
