House Resolution, HR 282

On March 28, 2007 Congressman Albio Sires (D-NJ) introduced Sense of The House Resolution, H.Res. 282. A Sense of the House is legislative Language which offers the opinion of the House, but does not make law. H.Res. 282 was introduced for the purpose of expressing the Sense of the House of Representatives that the United States Postal Service should Discontinue the practice of contracting out mail delivery services. Please contact your congressional representatives and ask them to sign On as a co-sponsor of H.Res 282. Attached is the NALC link to the Briefing paper on contracting out that you should share with any Congressional office seeking additional information. If legislation is introduced during the 110th Congress to stop the Postal Service from being able to contract out future letter carrier Work, having as many cosponsors on H.Res 282 will be significantly Helpful. Again, please contact your congressional representatives and Ask that they sign on as a cosponsor of H.Res 282. Thank you.
