Free Copy of Left 4 Dead (Xbox 360) Available
I had a small mixup and I ended up with a second copy of the Xbox 360 version of Left 4 Dead. The details surrounding that aren't really that important, but the game is LIKE NEW (it is used). There are no noticeable problems with the disc and it plays PERFECTLY. There are a lot of different options for giving this thing away, but I've decided to do a social experiment using Twitter. It's also going to be a bit of a self-marketing deal in that I'd like to get my name out there a bit more and (hopefully) meet some new people along the way. So, here's the gist of the experiment:
1. I want more followers on Twitter.
2. I have a game I can give away.
3. ????
4. Profit!
So, what I want to do is give away a copy of Left 4 Dead to one of my followers. You don't have to be an existing follower and you don't necessarily have to be extremely active on Twitter. Heck, if you like, you can unfollow me after the experiment is over. I'd prefer that you didn't, but who am I to stop you. Again, the goal is to meet new people and extend my network of connections out on the internet and one of you will get a free game in the process. Simple enough, right? Here's the rules for participation:
- In order to qualify, you must be following me on Twitter.
- To enter, send me an @reply letting me know that you want the game. In order to get picked up, you MUST include the hashtag #l4d -- I'm automating the system that will enter you into a Database of contestants so I don't have to do any of this manually.
- You must ALSO Retweet my ORIGINAL tweet announcing the contest. Use the format "RT @jeremyprivett: I'm giving away a free copy of Left 4 Dead. Details: http://is.gd/pmqO #l4d" The automated system DOES check this, so if you don't do it, you will NOT be entered into the database. It MUST match exactly.
- On April 15th, I will be using a special randomization code to pick a name out of the database 50,000,000 times. Whoever gets selected the most times out of the database of participants will receive a DM on Twitter requesting an address to ship the game to.
- If that person does not respond within 48 hours the next person in line will be DM'd.
