Description

Children investigate the Roman period and the development of the Roman army through Wales.

The link school will investigate a local landmark linked to their curriculum. Possible VC link to museum.

Both schools will present or video to show the link school their landmark. Through mysteryquest the children guess the landmark.

Both schools will then use the landmark as a base point for several activities such as;

Mapping skills – location of the locality.

Directions – how to get to the landmark from the link school.

Measurements – how far is the landmark from the school.

Literacy – Chose a prominent person from the historical event to start a story/play/drama etc.
