Meeting Minutes 

Present: Andy, Bibi, Nic, Remington, Jon, Devin, Eric, Kati, Scott, Howard

 
I. Call to Order

 
II. Discussion of the Ride on 12/06

1. Last Saturday Ride:

   1. 17 attended ride

   2. 4 new people signed up on contact list

   3. 2 observances for the future: from Nic

      1. Do not drink alcohol

      2. Always be courteous/ polite to bystanders

   4. For next ride: before every ride remind group of rules

      1. How to commute legally, etc . . .

      2. “no illegal actions/behavior”

   5. Lost riders along route

2. Why do we ride?

   1. For public presence/ engage public

   2. Teaches people to commute legally

   3. To teach/ educate bike maintance

   4. Promote community cycling awareness

 
III. Ongoing Business

1. Trailer

   1. Eric will find out tire size

   2. It’s a 2 horse trailer

   3. Donation is guaranteed: thanks Eric

   4. Eric will try to get a picture to show group

2. UNT presence

   1. Andy is VP of UNT cycling team (has 28 members, 4 are faculty)

   2. Nic will give Andy a business plan

   3. Sustainability council also compliments QCBS’ mission

   4. Nic: recommends a list of professors who are cyclists

   5. Free speech area for flat tire repair: Howard

   6. QCBS could post events on UNT Cycling team’s website

3. Partner with UNT cycling team for event? 

4. Need to find a space QCBS inventory currently @ Christina’s

   a. Don’t want items to get too fragmented  

5. Fundraiser

a. opportunity with Sonic: Bibi

      b. Future Fundraiser at Dan’s? 

6. Shop day at the Cupboard

   1. Nic said that Paul welcome’s QCBS having a shop day under awning  

7. Stands for shop:

   1. Cannot locate stands anywhere in QCBS storage

   2. Nic can get a good stand for 70$ bucks

   3. RBM was willing to donate stands a while back 

8. Bank info:

   1. Use money to buy stands?

   2. Ellen has that info ($733.59) 

9. Free storage unit space? :Bibi 
    

10. Nic: do something nice for Christina.

    1. Possibly event in front of her store
