September 08: Ohio State wins NSF MRSEC
The Center for Emergent Materials will focus on developing new materials and methods for utilizing the spin degree of freedom for next-generation technologies. Group efforts in the center will focus on measuring spin transport through single molecules, and probing the interactions of magnetic impurities in semiconductors.
April 07: Beckman Foundation Young Investigator award
This award supports our studies of chemical reactivity at the single molecule level. We are currently developing tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy as an independent probe of chemical structure, electron-vibrational coupling and surface chemistry.
Our research into the evolution of electronic structure from atomic to bulk size scales is now being supported with an NSF CAREER award.
