Internet and Electronic Publishing

This set of papers examines the role and impact of the internet and computer technology on publishing.  This includes books, newspapers, magazines and new media such as blogs.  News and entertainment publishing will also be discussed.
This is a little broad, you might say "some of the" roles and impacts.

Papers

Chapter I
Fulano de Tal.  "Screen Technology for Electronic Books, Magazines and Newspapers"   This paper examines improvements in screen technology which may make electronic publishing more competitive with print publications.   Three current technologies are described, the Sony PRS-500, the Kindle and the PlasticLogic electronic newspaper screen.
Great job, Fulano.  I couldn't have done better if I had written it myself.  TG
Chapter II
Ginnifer Shishido "The News: Media Circus, Inaccuracy and Desensitizing."  This paper will focus mainly on "Generation Now," in a comparison to past generations - how news and celebrity gossip used to be obtained (e.g. newspapers, nightly news shows on the radio/television, tabloid maganiznes, etc.), compared to how it is obtained now (e.g. CNN, ABC, People Magazine, etc).  The main focus of my paper will be the social impact of being able to have news now, mentioning topics of accuracy, the paparazzi media circus that seems to have erupted, as well as a desensitized society.
Focusing on "generation now" - usually called the Millennial Generation - means focusing specifically on how people in that generation use the media, which iws not what you say in the rest of your paragraph.  Having news "now" is not really that new, radio offered that.  But being able to get  it online from a large choice of suppliers is different.
I like the genrational topic, if you search specifically for that you'll find plenty of material.  Get specific examples.
Chapter III
Debbie Gibbs "Comparison of Internet and Traditional News Outlets.  "News Media, Quality versus Quantity" A comparison of the Internet and traditional news outlets. This paper examines the pros and cons of various news outlets in America including television journalism, internet journalism, and newspapers. This includes links to newspapers, media websites, ariticles, and journals regarding the rise of the internet and the decrease of unbiased media, and the connection between the public's need for information and an increasing lack unbiased media. The page examines the options the public has for their news, their favorite media outlet, and why. Comparing unibiased media and biased media and the ramifications on society. How mainstream media coverage impacts the importance of the news in the eyes of society, for example the coverage of the death of Anna Nicole Smith compared to the assasination of Benazir Bhutto.
This is a good topic but it needs to be focused on several specific examples.  You might compare coverage of the same event by three different media, for exmaple.
Chapter IV

Burnell Matthews  "Will Books Become Obsolete?  Internet publishing and self-publishing sites." Exploring the Internet's impact on self-publishing books made easy utilizing self-publishing sites.

Why would self-publishing make books obsolete?  it seems like it would create more books.  E-books vs. print books (soft or hard cover) is different from self-publishing vs. commercial publisher.  Self-published books can be on the web or on paper.
A paper on self-publishing, with several specific examples, would be interesting.
