The time has come for you to shine!  Working for Archimedes Architecture, your crack team of architects, designers, artists, and engineers has been commissioned to develop the most technologically advanced house in the world!  But first, you have to create a ground plan.

Archimedes Architecture requires certain things of you for this project:

1. A scale blueprint of your ground plan on grid paper or drawn on computer and printed off.
• This blueprint should include a legend of important symbols used on your blueprint
• This blueprint must be labeled with the names of rooms and dimensions (length by width) of your rooms
• This part of the assignment is due on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7
  
2. An artistic rendering (drawing) of certain areas of your house, including
   
• The outside, and
  
• Two inside rooms of your choice
• This part is due on MONDAY, DECEMBER 10
  
3. A written tour of your house, explaining the mathematics of how your house was designed.
• Give dimensions and square footage for all of your rooms
• Talk about the cool features of your house
• Explain any mathematics that you had to do
• This portion of your project should be typed
• This part is due on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 12
4. Each house must contain at least one bedroom, a kitchen, a living room, and one bathroom.
5. Houses are to be one story and outer dimensions must be 24' x 30'.
   

The City Board of Engineers and Building Management has certain requirements for the rooms of your house as well.

• No bedroom may be less than 56 sq. ft. in area.
• Bathrooms must be fitted with at least one sink that is at least two feet long by one foot wide.
• Living rooms must be at least 10 ft. x 12 ft.
• Kitchens must contain a refrigerator, stove/oven, and a side-by-side double sink.
• There must be at least one exit to the house.
• For each 7 feet of exterior wall space, there must be at least one window.
