The t.A.T.u. girl Yulia Volkova is expecting a boy
The last ultrasonic was mostly pleasant for the singers' husband, 21 years old business man Parviz: They're expecting a boy.
Yulia told us that it doesn't really matter to her, which gender the future baby will be - she'll love a boy or a girl the same.
The doctors assured Volkova that she's expecting a boy only a while a go. Before that, the specialists she saw told that a girl will be born

The t.A.T.u. girl admitted that she goes through this pregnancy much easier than the first one (Yulia have 3 years old daughter Vika).
- This time i only suffered from toxicosis in the first while - Told us Yulia. - But now I feel alright and confident. Sometimes it's enough for me to sleep two hours a day, so i could wake up the next day, work and don't feel exhausted. When I was pregnant for the first time I had constant indisposition And I don't really trust doctors,I always listen to my body. For example, the medics kept telling me that I'm tiny and that I won't be able to deliver by myself, but it all worked out. Though my daughter was born pretty big. So now i can say that if everything will go well, I'll deliver the natural way, by myself.
Despite the decent term of the pregnancy, Yulia continue to give concerts and participate in all kinds of shootings. While the future kid doesn't let her to forget about him.
- I always feel that during the shootings the baby start to kick around - smiles the singer. - When I rest he's sleeping, but when there's shootings or concerts, he starts to sort of sing along - kick with his legs and arms.

Lena: This is our first experience in a serious movie, but honestly the difference between an actress and a singer is not big because when you play a concert or shoot a video, you do the same thing: try to do it so that people believe you.

True history of t.A.T.u. that has never been revealed
(or how everybody met at the same time and place)
Everything that you're about to read is only first-hand information. No speculations or unverified information. My story will end lies and mist that accompanied the history of t.A.T.u. phenomenon from the very beginning. To make the things clear, I'll start from far-away and will write a lot and in detail.
Well, let's start...
One summer day of 1996 CEO of R&K PC assembling company Boris Renski called Vikotor K., video commercial producer (back then TV time was relatively cheap and even PC assembling companies could afford the luxury of annual advertising campaigns; such campaigns were launched at the beginning of fall, and every decent business had a new commercial made for it every year). Renski called the guy who did this job for R&K in 1995, but at the time when the story started he no longer worked in the industry of video advertising and recommended another producer instead.

G'day! Wow I finally made it over here to say hi to everyone. Haven't had time to check out much of the blogs but thought its about time I stopped by. Back in LA now, recording away. We had a great gig at B1 for the filming. After the show we went to dinner with some of the producers and people who have put this movie together. It was a great night & great people. Between squeaking and wheezing
The author writes, that the former sensation has become quiet and there was no concert for a long time. So he was very interested to see the concert at B1-club.
He told, that they could gather only 300-400 fans and performed only a half concert, playing their old repertoire and just two new songs, a bit affected, one with an original melody (LP) and one quite banal song (Y&I), both soundtracks to the documentary movie about tatu. He has been told that the movie has been done to dispel the rumours about the group and to tell their real story. Mitrofanov wrote the script and he didn't appear at the shootings because he doesn't like to be seen with his proteges. Obviously because those are quite scandalous like the porno actress Yelena Bond. Lena Katina has a teenager voice despite she is in her third decade, the vocal chords of Yulya are bad, he can't say whether it is because of the many concerts, her active nightlife or her amourous adventures, which don't give her time for professional vocal training. Maybe her pregnancy had it's effect, which Volkova doesn't hide but stress. She showed her heavy 7-month belly. In this case his critics remain in his throat and he can feel for the woman who can't take a rest and her fellow singer who has to sing the high notes alone. Although they embraced each other a few times, their undestroyable creative friendship was hard to believe. Nevertheless he was no friend of their squeaking and wheezing.

Several things from B1 and around that were concealed from your eyes and ears:
1. Julia was unsure if she should open and demonstrate her pregnant tummy. She put on a t-shirt, then took it off, then put it on again; she talked to Lena, Parvis, other people close to her. Everybody said that her tummy was very beautiful. Well, you also saw it.
2. Sergey Galoyan came to the concert. Sergey said in his composed manner (which he uses when talking about songs not written by him) flattering things about YAI, and also said that LP is "a strange song". I think that to hear this from the author of imperishable songs ATTSS, NGGU and some other is practically the highest degree of recognition.
3. Hey you, lost people, how could you think that Little People is the English version of Beliy Plashik? You have one verse of BP, full version of LP. Aren't you able to compare the two songs and understand that the music is different? You are fans of the band, not of Tin Woodman. Get some practice or something... Actually, LP is a cover song for the USSR anthem. Not more, not less.
4. Yes, Russian version of Little People exists and is called Chelovechki (if you want interpretation, go to Buka's blog and read my comment to her post Little People). LP is the English version of a Russian song. First we got the Russian lyrics, and English translation appeared later. The song was performed in English because soundtrack songs for the movie should be in English.
5. There's only English version of You and I and it will not be translated into Russian. The song will be included into Russian album.
6. After you had left the club the girls performed for the camera another new Russian song - Vremya Luni (Time of the Moon). I can't say anything about it right now except for - t.A.T.u. have never done anything like that (hopefully, it won't leak before the release, and if it will - the management will find the one who did it and kick his ass)
7. About some forum speculations regarding tracklist: There is the song called 220 there. And of course, Ne Zhaley, WR, LP, YAI, and VL. The rest of the sacred information from a "very informed" source - just lies and jokes.

Pregnant Tatugirl Risks The Health Of The Baby
The tatugirl Yulya Volkova appeared again on stage, despite the interdiction of the doctors.
The soloist of the popular group "Tatu" Yulya Volkova, risking the life of the not yet born child continued to shoot in complicated scenes for the film with the working title "In Search Of t.A.T.u.".
The singer, despite the 5th month of pregnancy already with a heavily rounded belly appears on stage as before.
In one of the famous night clubs of Moscow the group "Tatu" shot the last scene of the new film, it's plot has been written practically on the biography of Yulya and Lena. The basis of the movie is the book of Aleksej Mitrofanov "Tatu Comeback", and according to Yulya Volkova herself the film "will be very scandalous".
The shooting episode, in which the group "Tatu" performs at a solo concert, took place in one of the most bombastic clubs of Moscow. Despite the fact that her forms are already distinctly rounded, Yulya not taking account of her own health and the health of the baby, shot several hours without a break. And all that for a project, which will be presented at the cinema festival in Cannes.
The Concert
In front of the cameras Yulya with dignity lay bare her round belly. On the stage the soloists constantly held hands and looked very amicable, despite the recent quarrels and misunderstandings.
During a break of half an hour Volkova climbed on the balcony, where Parviz , the father of the future child waited for her with impatience. Permanently protected by a pair of bodyguards (who by the way have been hired by the husband of the singer practically immediately after the news about her interesting situation), well and the same husband of Yulya did everything that the future mom feels herself comfortable.
As soon as the tatugirls finished singing, the guards promptly sent the whole crowd out of the club. As it turned out later the singers demanded it to remake some unsuccessful takes, but without unnecessary witnesses.
The Doctors
Volkova has been filmed in a sultry and smoke-filled room, exposing herself to a serious physical burden. The singer ignored all the advice of the doctors and worked through the necessary takes in such a mode as if under her heart there would not beat the heart of the little baby. In the opinion of the gynaecologists and paediatrists similar physical and psychological strains prove to be very harmful for the development of the fetus in the womb of the mother.
"Loud music, tobacco smoke and stress are strictly contra-indicated for pregnant women, especially if she is already in the fifth month", told the experienced birth-assisting gynaecologist of the 5th Gynaelogical Hospital Vasilij Lysenkov to "Zhizn"

We are inviting everybody � the entrance to the concert will be free. It will be a live club gig. The most important thing: Two new songs will be included into the set list - You and I and Little People.
Attention! Please, remember about the movie shooting during the show. All who come will as well be actors. It could happen that the director will ask for 2-3 takes of the new songs. Besides the new songs will be performed "full playback" � it is a filming requirement.
No video cameras will be allowed in the club. Photography is, as always, allowed.

Mischa Barton Will Work At A Meatpacking Factory
Right now the shootings of the film "In Search Finding tATu" is taking place at the slaughter-house, where the star of the movies "Notting Hill" and "The Sixth Sense" plays one of the main characters - the russian girl Lana. According to the script a provincial criminal authority, whose role got Aleksandr Semchev, has sent the heroine Mischa to work at the slaughter-house.
"I confess, first the task looked hard for me, but in fact everything turned out to be a bit easier", told Barton. "I began to act on stage when I was eight years old. My debut was the production "The Slavs" from Tony Kushnir in New York. For this play they specially applied a russian accent to me. This experience helped me much to manage the role of Lana."To the spice of the shootings adds the presence of two pregnant ladies at the set: the tatugirl Yulya and Alika Smekhova, who acts in the role of Lana's mother, mentions the newspaper. The script of the movie "In Search Of t.A.T.u."
Is based on the book of the deputy Aleksej Mitrofanov and the authoress Anastasiya Moisseeva, "Tatu Comeback". This is the story of two girls, a 17 year old american and a russian of the same age from a small provincial town, whose role is played by Barton.The action of the film takes place at the beginning of the year 2000. It's the story of the love of two fans of the scandalous duet, Janie and Lana. The protagonists cruelly kill the mother of Lana, because she prohibits their relationship. For this crime both girls get in prison.The director of the film became prize-winner of the "Golden Palm" of the festival in Cannes, the Briton Roland Joffe. The presentation of the movie will be in Cannes next year.

Learning the Lingo
Leather-clad dancers gyrated to a bass beat in the opulent nightclub Rai, or Paradise, as Roland Joffe shot a party scene on location for "Finding t.A.T.u.," a teen drama that the British director is filming in Moscow and Yaroslavl.
Outside the giant club, which has a Garden of Eden theme, the film's star, American actress Mischa Barton, took a break from filming. Dressed in vintage jeans and a slim black coat, she stood on the embankment, looking out over the Moscow River.
The 21-year-old actress, best known for starring in teenage drama "The O.C.," plays a Russian girl called Lana. An aspiring model from a provincial town, Lana bonds with an American expat, Janie (played by Shantel VanSanten) after they meet on a fan site devoted to t.A.T.u.
The screenplay is based on an erotic novel titled "t.A.T.u. Come Back" by State Duma Deputy Alexei Mitrofanov. The pop duo will make a cameo appearance in the film.
Barton has to deliver some of her lines in Russian and speaks throughout the film with a Russian accent, a task she said she first undertook at the age of 8 in a staging of Tony Kushner's play "Slavs!"
"It's a much harder, guttural throat sound," she said of Russian pronunciation. "But it's a really pretty language when you break it apart, actually."
The film is being produced by Ramco, a Russian-American production company. Its American producer is Stephen Nemeth, who previously worked on "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas."
Watching the filming, Nemeth praised Barton's performance. "I think that it was very bold of her to come to Russia at this point in her life, to play a Russian girl, to learn an accent, to take a risk like that -- because frankly, unless she really pulls it off, it can be very dicey.
"In this particular case, my fears are gone," Nemeth said. "She's doing unbelievably well."
Barton said she sympathizes with her character in the film. "Lana's got a lot of morals," she said. "You see her struggling to hang on in the middle of all of this mayhem that she's thrown into in Moscow.
"She's drawn to all of this fantastic wealth and night life she has never seen before, and I think the people will relate to her, because she's just this young kid in this very confusing, corrupt world, trying to stick to her guns."
The director "is trying to make a film that is as raw and real as possible," Barton said, citing its criticism of the "corrupt" music scene in Russia. "The whole night life has got a seedy undercurrent to it that doesn't go unnoticed in the film."
The actress said she had dinner with Yelena Katina and Yulia Volkova of t.A.T.u "They carry a lot of baggage," she said, bringing up the pop duo's initial claim to be lovers. "I think a lot of people felt cheated by it; it's a bit of a gimmick, the lesbian thing."
Barton, who came to Moscow in June, is living on Stary Arbat with her dog Ziggy. She ventures out accompanied by a driver and bodyguard, but has socialized with the city's elite. Last month, Russia's Hello! magazine pictured her with designer Darya Zhukova, who has been linked to oligarch Roman Abramovich.
Despite her reputation as a party girl, Barton said that the local club scene is not to her taste. "The night life here scares me a bit," she said, describing a visit to Diaghilev, a club aimed at the city's high rollers, as "shocking."
"It was enough to keep me satisfied the whole stay," she said. "It's really bizarre to see it once or twice, but I can't imagine wanting to do it on a regular basis."
Barton plays the role of a Russian girl with dreams of meeting her pop idols in "Finding t.A.T.u." .

t.A.T.u. Play in the Movie
ALL ABOUTt.A.T.u.'s intense work schedule is not a problem for the pregnant vocalist Yulia Volkova. The singer now is fourth months pregnant. "I'm the happiest, there's a human being inside of me, who already gives me signs... Sometimes it's strange to realize that soon I will give birth to my second child ", - Yulia shared with ОК! According to Volkova the band plans to perform and film until the end of October. Moreover, during the last month of Yulia's pregnancy t.A.T.u. plan to make a video for their new song White Robe.
Right now the band is involved in the work on the movie Finding t.A.T.u. which is being filmed in Russia from the end of May. Of course, the girls play themselves. By the way, movie's soundtrack will include songs from t.A.T.u.'s upcoming album. Lena and Yulia's first shooting day took place at the old Badaev brewery, and lately t.A.T.u. were spotted on the other object - ZIL factory. The shooting of the movie continues up to the middle of August. Producers plan to present the film at Cannes in 2008.

THE AMERICAN FILM EDITOR RICHARD NORD: “I AM PLEASED TO WORK IN MOSFILM AGAIN”
In the Mosfilm Tonestudio the work on the film In Search of t.A.T.u. by the American film director Roland Joffe (Vatel, Scarlet Letter, The Mission, The Killing Fields, The Fugitive) is in progress.The script is based on the book T.A.T.u. Come Back by Alexey Mitrofanov; soloists of the group T.A.T.u. Yulya Volkova and Lena Katina star in film themselves.
The Hollywood principles of work on the film demand the parallel process of shootings and editing that is carried out by the well-known American film editor Richard Nord (The Watcher, Species 2, Passenger 57, The Fugitive, the latter film brought the Oscar nomination to R.Nord) in Mosfilm.
Richard Nord says that the film director Roland Joffe works in his individual style and he can shoot very interestingly even the simplest scene, so to edit his films is a real pleasure. Then he adds that in Russia one carries out film editing after completing the shootings, in Hollywood the film director joins the process of editing at the last stage, the editing is going in parallel with shootings, though the film editor and the film director discuss certainly progress of editing regularly. But they are two professionals, so there is no need for them to sit side by side hourly. Since the film director does not load the camera and does not record sound himself, why should he edit the film himself?
However according to Richard Nord, the film director takes part in all creative decisions during the work, but the film editor has not to wait for anybody to do something new. Due to that time of work on the film reduces essentially because the professional editor appreciates the film director’s idea fully, and he has a good chance to introduce his creative ideas, apply his experience.
Richard Nord came to work in Mosfilm already for the second time. He says now that he is pleased to have an opportunity to work again here and that he feels as if he had come back home because he is among his friends here. But the main thing is that new machinery and equipment that are available in Mosfilm make it possible to work with material shot by the HD-Panavision camera. This is an up-to-the minute camera with high resolution; only now it begins to have extensive applications in the world, there are only three places in America where one can edit material shot with this camera. For two years a great deal has changed in Mosfilm, especially as for technological novelties. This equipment enable cinematographers to do what one is usually able to do only with the use of computers, thereby owing to Mosfilm equipment they reduce essentially time and expenses.
The film narrates how two girls — an American and a Russian became acquainted each other and became real friends. Richard Nord emphasized that the same happened in their unit: cordial friendship between Russian and American members of the unit sprang up, and all did common work together. He added that he had worked on films together with different film directors in different countries: in America, Canada, in Budapest and Paris, and one always depended very much on people whom one worked with. But here in the studio it was as comfortable as in Los Angeles in respect of professionalism and friendly support.

The Group t.A.T.u. Acts In A Movie
The group t.A.T.u. acts at the moment intensely in the film "In Search Of t.A.T.u.", the work on it proceeds in Russia since the end of May. Of course the girls play themselves in the film. By the way, the soundtrack to the film will be a song from the new album of the group.
The shootings of the movie are proceeding for a few months now; with the actress Shantel van Santen, who plays the second main character (right picture*), VJ Aleksandr Anatol'evich appears in an episode of the film as well (upper left picture*). The first shooting day of Lena and Yulya passed by at the old beer brewery Badaev and the other day t.A.T.u. were observed at another object - SIL**. The shootings of the film will extend to mid August. The producers plan to present the film at the Cannes - Filmfestival in 2008.
The tense working-schedule of the group t.A.T.u. is no handicap for the pregnancy of the soloist Yulya Volkova. The singer is now in the fourth month. "I'm very happy, after all I have an entire person inside, who already lets me know about him/her! Although it's a bit unusual to realize, that I will have a second child." confessed Yulya to "OK". According to Volkova the group intends to perform and film until end of October. Furthermore t.A.T.u. plan to shoot a video clip for the new song "White Robe" in the last month of Yulya's pregnancy.
