Materials

Connect Four™ game

Setup

1. Write the verse on a chalk/wipe board. Set up a table in the middle of the room and place the game on it.

2. Divide the children into two groups and have them sit on opposite sides of the table.

Activity

1. Read through the verse as a group once.

2. Explain the following:

This verse from Psalms echos our big idea for today: God's rule's (laws) are good.

3. Each time you read through the verse as a group, do the following: erase one word of the verse from the board. Select a child from each team to come up front. Have them each take one turn putting a piece into the Connect Four™ game. Repeat until all the words of the verse have been erased. If the game is not complete, quickly allow the teams to finish their game.
