Mobile Web Best Practice Working Group - Korean Task Force

Background

There was a consensus to create a Korean Task Force in BPWG to deliver the Korean input for current ongoing MWBP documents more efficiently at the MWBP Seoul meeting, March 2008.

Goal

The goal of the Korean Task Force is to deliver the Korean input for current ongoing MWBP documents in order to avoid the fragmentation of MWBP standards. For this goal, Task Force will produce the documents of the gap analysis between W3C MWBP and Korean industry from Mobile Web 2.0 Forum, and makes the proposal for new work items. 

Scope

The Korean task force will:

• be governed by the agreements set forth in the BPWG regarding Task Forces;
• define the problem statement and requirements relating to the scope of its work;
• develop the gap analysis document to the W3C MWBP documents from the view point of Korean perspective to make sure the relevant standards in worldwide;
• identify and propose the new work items for future of W3C MWBP to support more advanced environment in various mobile web 2.0 perspectives not covered by MWBP documents;
• provide the report of mobileOK trial service project in Korea. 
  

The most of Task Force work will be done by Mobile Web 2.0 forum, Korea.

Roadmap

Members

        *MW2F: Mobile Web 2.0 Forum

Meetings (Teleconference, F2F meeting)

• Teleconference : The meeting will be held in every first week of the month which is a local meeting for members.

        *we have decide to use both W3C teleconference bridge and forum teleconference bridge as available basis.

        *So, it is required a technical support for W3C zakim bridge system.

• Face to face meeting : The meeting will be held in every third week of the month which is a local meeting for members.  
• The Task Force meeting will be opened to everyone of Mobile Web 2.0 Forum.

Report

The Task Force leader should report the TF activities and/or meeting results to the MWBP working group periodically, but if there is no issue on the TF the report could be omitted.

This Task Force has two public mailing lists in W3C and Mobile Web 2.0 Forum respectively.

        *we have decided to use W3C mailing-list only mostly used in Korean.
