Course Highlights:
This course/workshop provides the basic knowledge to build basic objects in Second Life using the tools provides by the viewer, also provides basi programming knowledge to create some programming behaviurs to move objects and create user interactions.

Course Description:
The first part of the course provide an introduction to the Second Life viewers commands, also present the tools and basic elements of building adding some programming structures to move object and interact wit users inside the world. This course mix theorical sessions with practiacal sessions and visits to interesting places. The student develops a small building project through the sessios and make a presentation at the end of the course.

Syllabus:

This course on his first part provide an overview of the commands to use the Second Life viewer, also presents the tools and elements to build simple objects, adding some programming elements to provide interaction with the objects inworld and some behaivours. This course mix theorical session with practical sessions and visits to interesting places, The student develops a small building project through the sessios and make a presentation at the end of the course.

Session 01 : Course Presentation (1 Hour)
This first session is the formal presentation of the course to the students with the presentation of the instructor, the contents, the student presentation, expectations, requirements and available resources

Viewer Overview (30 Min)
In this second part of the first session, will conduct and induction to the viewers commands, reviewing the basic elements to interact inworld.

First Travel (30 Min)
First travel to some interesting places to watch the type of objects presents inworld, the students must capture images and upload to the course site

In this session the kind of prims are present, also some instructions to build simple objects

Session 04 : The SandBox (2 Hours)
This section is placed the concept of SandBox, some useful tools are also use. Students begin to create an object which must be submitted at the end of the course and will be part of the exhibit objects of this first course.

Classroom :

The course is conducted entirely online using Second Life, into a classroom being built, the instructor and students must be registered in Second Life and have a minimum experience in managing the viewer is offered a Basic Course management Second Life in the near future.

Access Requirements :


The course also has a virtual classroom on site so that the students can access the information of the course and can send tasks that are asked, this virtual classroom is housed on the project website HiperGalaxia on which is used Moodle (http://www.hipergalaxia.org )
