• Communicate with the onsite team, gather the requirements, study and prepare understanding documents for the same.

• Prepare the design and the flow for the requirements by discussing with the team members.

• Drive in the strategy/flow to be followed to the team members.

• Code the flow designed in Ruby on rails and java script, perform local testing before handing it over to the onsite testing team.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Eventzs is a SAS (Software As Service) product aiming to integrate all the happening events. Along with being an events integrator, it provides additional services to the users like job-portal and questions-answers. Also it caters a wide range of clients from venues to venue-service-provider, event-manager to event-attendee. It involves development with Ruby on Rails along with MYSQL as database.

PROJECT SUMMARY

Module name	Description
Event cycle.	It deals with developing the web interface and the backend structure to let the user enter the event-details and add attachments if required. These events must then be reflected in the public listing of events depending on the permissions set by the event-creator. It should let the regular users to mark the event as favorite, add comments and suggest attachments to it.
Invitation cycle.	This involves creating the backend and the UI to let the event creator send invitations (email) to users, both registered and unregistered. The invitees can then register with the event.
Venue Cycle.	It deals with developing the web interface and the backend structure to let the user enter venue details, listing it in the public listing, allowing it to be searchable while creating the event and listing all the events organized there to add to the reputation of the venue.
Group cycle.	It deals with developing the web interface and the backend structure to let the user create groups so that users with common interest can stay in touch. Provide various permission levels so that only desired content of the group is visible to the public.
Job-portal.	It deals with developing a basic job-portal where in the event-managers or venue-owners or business-owners can post the jobs, manage and communicate with the responses they get. It allows the regular user to search for the jobs he is interested in and post his resume.
Question-Answers.	This involves building a simple yet efficient cycle of asking-questions and answering them. There should be a wide range of other options like Choosing a best answer, rating the answers, spamming an answer.
Agenda Building.	This involves building the backend and UI for the user to create agenda’s for the event he hosts. After creating the agenda, the user will be given a piece of html code, placing it on any HTML page will fetch the agenda details and display it on the same.
Collaboration.	This involves creating the backend structure to enable the user to share/collaborate anything that he has built (event/venue/job/group….), so that a group of users can collectively edit/operate on it    .
Integration.	This involves integrating Youtube, Flickr, Google maps, Yahoo and Gmail address books into eventzs.com.
