10.12.08 Tentative Minutes Querencia Community Bike Shop

Present: ellen, melissa, taylor, remington, devin, nick, kati

1. Devin was not able to prepare letter that would be attached to the letters to be delivered to the city council.

2. Everyone who needs access to google docs needs to contact Howard to be set up with an account.

3. Owner of Voyagers Dream asked to be added to supporters list.

4. Nick emailed a friend, Bill, who works at the south branch library about helping/supporting the ‘library branch connection ride’. He has yet to hear back. He suggests that this ride will be much longer and suggests contacting the police to ask them for their support/escort assistance. Nick suggests inviting cyclist groups in the community to join our rides in an effort to continue hosting rides through the fall and winter.

5. Group agrees that monthly rides will be held on the first Saturday of the month at 11am. Routes may vary.

6. Grant writing discussion begins. Taylor reminds Devin that the business plan has wording in it that applies to the programs which we intend to find grants for. Devin suggests we pick one program to focus on to write a grant for. Taylor agrees to look into fast tracking post 501c3 application submission. Taylor suggests compiling a list of potential granting foundations.

7. Taylor agrees to design statement for obtaining supports to add to supporter list.
