M.A.P. Plan - Ministry
Using the MAP Plan, write out your dream for your ministry.
M - Mission - Dreaming Stage
Start with the end in mind. What do you want your ministry to look like? What kind of results do you want to accomplish?
In this section take a moment to Dream (Something that somebody hopes, longs, or is ambitious for, usually something difficult to attain, or far removed from present)
I would like to see the WORM program as a thriving education program. Kids learning memory verses, engaged in the lessons, and reaching out to the congregation through service. Many volunteers wanting and helping to recruit new volunteers.
A -Affect - Shaping Stage
Affect means to influence or have an effect on somebody or something; to move somebody emotionally; an emotion or mood associated with an idea or action; or the external expression of such a feeling shape.
Take a moment to write down 3 ways you can influence and shape your ministry. Also, how can you involve others in accomplishing the mission?
I need to talk with my current volunteers and relate to them the vision for our ministry and see if they agree and would like to help.
Get volunteers into the classroom to see that this is fun and doable.
Write the lesson plans to follow a set classroom schedule and let volunteers know about this.
P - Planning and Prayer - Result Stage
Implementing a plan isn’t as easy as it seems, but by taking one step at a time you can accomplish your dream. Write out your plans and pray about it constantly. Don’t give up. Whom God calls he also equips!
Below jot down a list (as fast as you can) of steps you will need to take to begin the process of accomplishing the goal.
Send this to Lisa, Cindy's, and others who are a part of the WORM program, including Dwayne and Chrissie to let them know what we are trying and to get them to pray and possibly help.
Have a memory verse for each rotation. Relay this to the teachers to have them have the kids work on them and we can show this off to the congregation.
Contact or get a volunteer to contact people to get them to a classroom at least once. To see what is going on...
Maybe make a short video t show people what we are doing in class.
Get help from current volunteers to brainstorm ways to get the job done.
