I. Introduction
Well, to start out, let’s go over simple controls.
V = skills
B = backpack
C = character
Q = quests
M = map
F = available titles and other statistics
F1-F12 and #1-9 can all be used as hotkeys for items and skills.
You can also set a certain spells to the right click for the mouse.
Click and hold the left click to move about. Left click monsters to target them. Double click to do a basic frontal assault. Hit a hotkey to use a skill.
After learning the Leap skill, you can jump across rivers and other spaces by holding down Ctrl and left clicking the spot you desire to jump to.
When looking at the map, you can hold down the right click to move the map and see all the available areas.
The element system works off of a basic one element works well against another and poorly against yet another. There are 5 elements: wood, earth, water, metal, and fire.
Metal does more damage to Wood and less to Water.
Water does more damage to Fire and less to Wood.
Wood does more damage to Earth and less to Fire.
Fire does more damage to Metal and less to Earth.
Earth does more damage to Water and less to Metal.
If you are planning on becoming powerful in this game, you will need to memorize those 5 lines. It is not difficult to memorize them, but it is necessary to do so. Additionally, in order to gain new skills for your elements, there are 2 things you must do. First, you must fight monsters of your same element in order to gain elemental experience. It is elemental experience and character level that determine whether you are able to learn a skill, so finding monsters of your same element is important if you want to be able to learn more skills. Additional, you can go to the Elemental Fairy Realms (explained later in the guide) where you can find each Fairy Realm has only a certain element of monster. The other important thing to do is to hunt monsters whom you are weak against. Monsters will drop skill tomes of the element that is weak to them. So in order to find Fire tomes, you would have to hunt Water monsters. Finding the tomes is not easy, because their drop rates are low, but they are the only way to increase the power of your current skills and gain new skills for your element.
You’ll appear in Dongran village, the newbie area. The weakest monsters, tortoises and rabbits, are to the north and southeast. You will first want to talk with the man standing under the big tree in the center of the village to receive your first quest.
II. The Quests
This section is devoted to all of the quests through the elemental quest that allows you to choose which element you wish to associate yourself with. The quests are listed in the order that I personally suggest taking them, but many of the quests can be fulfilled in the order of your choosing. Note that the map in the game is tilted so that what appears to be north is actually northeast. In this guide, if I say that something is to the north, what I mean is that it is toward the very top of the screen, so note that when I speak of directions, I do not use a tilted compass like the in-game map. So without any further ado:
1. Fabled Origin
-Talk to Jing Qiu the Teacher (207,240) to receive this first quest of the game.
-He will ask you to obtain 3 rabbit legs. Rabbits can be found to the north of the north of the village at location (134,193). While hunting the rabbits, note that the turtles in the region are also level 1, so you can also fight them. I suggest using this time to get acquainted with the fighting system and attempt to reach level 2 before reporting back to Jing Qiu the Teacher.
-While fighting, you will find items that are materials for creating other items. You should probably sell ones that do not have any properties, but anything that has properties or that has a blue or green name should be held onto for later use in creating equipment. While in Dongran, it is better to leave equipment creating to a minimum, due to the fact that you will receive a set of equipment that has great bonuses if worn all together, so creating new equipment will not be necessary until you are getting ready to leave Dongran. Equipment creation will also be explained later on in this guide. Note that when I talk of equipment creation, I mean paying NPC’s to create your equipment. Once you have your Living Skill (explained later) you should create things every time you have enough materials to do so.
-Once you have the rabbit legs, report back to Jing Qiu the Teacher, who will give you a reward for completing the mission.
2. Greeting the Sainted
Jing Qiu will next ask you to visit the NPC’s in the village in order to become acquainted with their crafts.
Visit the Blacksmith (190,208) and he will give you a weapon which can be used at level 3.
Visit the Jewelcrafter (153,218) and she will give you a ring that can be worn immediately to provide you with a little extra HP.
Visit the Seamstress (156,256) and she will give you an armor which can be worn at level 4.
Visit the Doctor (215,265) to receive a skill which will allow you to meditate and recover MP and HP when you are not battling.
Visit the Alchemist (239,236) and he will teach you about the element system briefly and you will receive some experience points.
Return to Jing Qiu the Teacher to finish the quest.
3. Name list for the Adulthood Rite
Jing Qiu the Teacher will ask you to speak with Xu Yan (265,175), who is just east of Jing Qiu the Teacher, but not outside of the village.
Xu Yan will ask you to find the Lumberjack (265,175) so that you can attain resin used to create ink for the adulthood rite name list. The Lumberjack is north of town, just past a bridge if you keep to the road.
When you find the Lumberjack, he will tell you that he was attacked by a spider and has been poisoned. If you choose the considerate responses, you will open up a side quest:
4. Save the Lumberjack
Go to the Doctor and ask him to make an antidote.
The Doctor will tell you to collect 5 Tortoise Shell Fragments. The closest Turtles can be found at (266,245).
After you retrieve the fragments, return to the Doctor to pick up the antidote, and then return to the Lumberjack to give it to him and complete the quest.
Head over to the Alchemist and give him the resin you received from the Lumberjack. Talk to the Alchemist a second time and he will give you the ink.
Return to Xu Yan with the ink and he will give you the name list.
Return to Jing Qiu the Teacher with the name list to complete the quest.
5. A Visit to the Elderly
Jing Qiu the Teacher will next request that you talk with Elder Sheng Rong (27,198). Elder Sheng Rong lives north of town. To get to him go north like you are headed toward the Lumberjack, but instead of going across the bridge, head to the northwest instead.
Talking with Elder Sheng Rong completes the quest and begins the next quest.
6. Listening to History
Elder Sheng Rong asks you to visit the Alchemist to pick up 4 joss sticks.
When you speak with the Alchemist, he will ask you to first retrieve 4 Spider’s Poison Sacs. Spiders can be found northeast of the Lumberjack at location (85,109). I suggest being level 3 before fighting the spiders, because their poison attacks can really drain your HP quickly regardless of what class you picked.
After you have obtained the 4 Spider’s Poison Sacs, return to the Alchemist who will give you the joss sticks. Return to Elder Sheng Rong with the joss sticks to complete the quest.
7. Mister Omniscient
At this point I suggest that if you have not already obtained level 5 status, that you should work on leveling on spiders until you have become level 5. It shouldn’t take too long.
Head over to Mister Omniscient, who is just northwest of Jing Qiu. You should have passed by him many times by now.
Talk to him and select the option to “receive my prize.” You will be given a short quiz and once you have answered all the questions correctly you will receive a reward.
8. Adulthood Rite
Elder Sheng Rong will ask you to retrieve 9 Golden Pheasant Feathers. Golden Pheasants can be located at (157, 286). It will probably take awhile to retrieve 9 feathers, especially if you have not yet reached level 5. Take this time if you haven’t already to reach level 5.
When you have obtained all the feathers, return to Elder Sheng Rong and he will ask you to talk with the Seamstress to obtain Chromatic Caps.
Head back over to the Seamstress and she will tell you to get 8 Golden Pheasant Plumes.
By now you should be thoroughly annoyed with those birds, but continue pounding on them for a little while longer and then head back to the Seamstress when you have the Golden Pheasant Plumes.
The Seamstress will give you the Chromatic Caps and you can return to Elder Sheng Rong to complete the quest.
9. The Young Mentor
Return once again to Jing Qiu the Teacher. He will ask you to find Master Xia Mingzi (436,241), who is in a small village to the southeast. You can follow a dirt path to the village.
When you talk with Master Xia Mingzi, he will ask you to learn a specific skill dependent on your class from the Skill Master (452,220) who is located in the eastern half of the tiny village.
After you learn your level 5 skill, return to Master Xia Mingzi for a new quest.
10. Trying a New Skill
Master Xia Mingzi will tell you to test your new skill out on the Deer to the west of where you are.
A good location for hunting deer is (401,268). You need to obtain 6 Pieces of Deer Meat, and then return to Master Xia Mingzi.
11. Getting Acquainted with Item Creation.
The time has finally come to learn about one of the major systems of the game in detail. After this quest you will be able to learn your “Living Skill” which will allow you to create a specific style of equipment of your choice on your own without having to pay the NPC’s. Speak with Master Xia Mingzi to start the quest.
You must first find Wang Xi (443,205) who is just north of the Skill Master. He will give you a quest to create the weapon for the Young Phoenix set.
12. Weaponsmithing
Wang Xi will tell you to get 6 Lizard Teeth. Lizards can be found northeast of the Deer and a good location to look is (371,233).
Lizards will be the second time that you face an enemy that will aggro – attack without you attacking it first. They will attack if you get too close, and will also attack if you attack another Lizard that is near their location. Make sure you head over to the Doctor to pick up potions – this is one of the first times you will probably really need them.
After you manage to obtain the 6 Lizard Teeth, return to Wang Xi. When you tell you you’ve got the items, he’ll open up his shop window. Click the “Item Creation” button. From there, a new window will replace the shop window and you can place the Lizard Teeth in each of the open slots in the window. Click the little anvil that appears once all the slots have been filled to create the weapon.
Talk to Wang Xi again afterwards to receive an additional 1000 EXP.
Revisit the Seamstress now. She will have you decide to either learn Armorcrafting or Leatherworking at this time. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to get all the equipment later, but for now, choosing Leatherworking will immediately get you a quest to make a helmet, while Armorcrafting will immediately get you a quest to make a suit of armor.
13. Armorcrafting / Leatherworking
The Seamstress will ask you to get 5 Deer Belly Furs. Return to the Deer area and fight them again. They should be fairly easy to beat by now.
If you reach level 7, you can go back over to the Skill Master to upgrade 1 of your skills to level 2.
Return to the Seamstress with the Deer Belly Furs and she will tell you to craft either a helmet or a piece of armor dependent on which quest you chose. Note that you can continue finding Deer Belly Furs until the quest ends and the quest will not end until you create the correct piece of equipment.
Talk to the Seamstress again after you create the helmet/armor to receive an extra 1000 EXP.
Revisit the Jewelcrafter and she will give you a quest to create the ring of the Young Phoenix set.
14. Creating Rings
The Jewelcrafter will ask you to get 4 Wild Bull Teeth. Wild Bulls can be found at (198,95). Note that Wild Bull is a level 8 monster, so I suggest being at least level 7-8 before fighting it.
Every mob at level 8 or above will aggro, so keep in mind that there will not be any more docile monsters in your gaming experience from now on and that you should always be on guard when hunting.
Once you have the Wild Bull Teeth, head back to the Jewelcrafter and create a ring.
Talk to the Jewelcrafter a second time to receive an additional 1000 EXP.
You can now report to Master Xia Mingzi in order to complete the main quest.
15. Macaque Trouble
Master Xia Mingzi will tell you to kill 30 Macaques.
Macaques can be found to the southwest, and a good location is (234,347).
You can do this quest now, but there are also other quests that can be done instead at this time which will net you the rest of the Young Phoenix set. It may be better to get the equipment set full bonus before attempting this quest unless you have been doing some extra hunting and have reached level 8-9.
Once you have killed 30 Macaques (view your quest window to check how many have been killed) you can return to Master Xia Mingzi to complete the quest.
16. Decide your Life Skill
It is finally time to determine what type of item you wish to make. This quest can be done as soon as you finish the quest “Getting Acquainted with Item Creation.” Head over to either the Seamstress, Jewelcrafter, or Blacksmith to learn the life skill of your choice.
Blacksmithing is the most difficult life skill to learn, because weapon materials have the lowest drop rate of any type of material. It could be rewarding in the future, however, since there will be less competition in the economy and you will have the pride of creating your own weapons.
Jewelcrafting is the next hardest skill to learn, again due to drop rates being low (but not as low as weapon materials). Jewelcrafting will allow you to make your own rings and necklaces.
Leatherworking will allow you to make helmets and gauntlets.
Armorcrafting will allow you to make suits of armor and boots.
Your Life Skill allows you to use a hammer (must be equipped) to create items without help from an NPC. All NPC’s have a natural life skill level of 4. You will start at level 1, which means the equipment you create will have a lower chance at first of having good properties. To increase the level of your Life Skill, you must hunt monsters until they have dropped enough item materials for you to create a piece of equipment. For every piece of equipment you create, you gain experience in your Life Skill.
Once you have decided your life skill it is not a good idea to change it, so choose carefully.
17. Creating Boots/Gauntlets
Head back to the Seamstress and ask her where you can find item materials to start this quest. This quest will get you either the Young Phoenix boots or Young Phoenix gauntlets depending on what you chose to learn from her in the earlier quest.
The Seamstress will ask you to get an additional 3 Deer Belly Furs, so go kill Bambi a few times and come on back.
Return to the Seamstress with the materials and create the boots/gauntlets. Talk with her again afterward to receive an additional experience bonus.
18. Creating Necklaces
Head on over to the Jewelcrafter to receive the quest which will net you the Young Phoenix necklace.
The Jewelcrafter will ask you to get another 4 Wild Bull Teeth. Make short work of the Wild Bulls, come back, and create your necklace.
Talk with the Jewelcrafter afterward for an additional experience bonus.
19. Creating Helmets/Armor
This time, the Seamstress will ask you to get 5 Soft Crocodile Skins. Crocodiles can be found in the northeast, and at location (335,94). After pulling a Steve Irwin, come back to the Seamstress to create your equipment.
Talk to the Seamstress again for an additional experience bonus.
20. Creating Gauntlets/Boots
For the final piece of the Young Phoenix set, the Seamstress wants you to get an additional 3 Soft Crocodile Skins. Kill some Crocs, come on back, create your equipment – you know the grind by now.
Talk to the Seamstress again for an additional experience bonus.
21. Scaring the Knave
Master Xia Mingzi wants you to scare a knave who has been causing trouble in the northeast at the ferry. He also gives you a jumping skill to allow you to jump over the river.
First, you must fight some crocodiles until one drops a Bloody Crocodile Head.
Bring the head over to the ferry in the northeast. The Knave is at location (435,36), on the other side of the river. Go up to the river and stand near the bank of the river. While holding Ctrl, left click on the other bank of the river in order to jump to the other side.
Talk to the Knave and scare him with the Bloody Crocodile Head.
Report back to Master Xia Mingzi.
22. Piggish Xiao Ye
You must be level 10 before you can complete this quest.
Near Jing Qiu the Teacher, there are a group of children who wander around the center of the village. They are led by Xiao Xi and Xiao Ye is typically directly behind him. The children tend to say random things, so it may take a dozen or so tries before they finally open up the conversation to start the quest.
Speak with Xiao Ye until he makes a request for Rice Dumplings. Xiao Ye will ask for 3 Rice Dumplings, which you can get by completing a side quest from Xiao Xi.
23. Rewards for Rice Dumplings
Talk with Xiao Xi again and again until he tells you he will reward you with a Rice Dumpling for completing a mission.
Xiao Xi will randomly ask you to either kill 25 Spiders or 25 Golden Pheasants.
Each time you complete the task he asks for, he will give you 1 Rice Dumpling, so you must report back to him and receive another task a total of 3 times to receive 3 Rice Dumplings.
Once you have the 3 Rice Dumplings, report back to Xiao Ye. He will tell you that he is not allowed to have the Rice Dumplings and that you should instead get him some Popcorn.
Head over to Fastmouth He Qinghua (251,288) and start up a conversation.
Listen to what Fastmouth He Qinghua says carefully, because you will be quizzed on it. For the last question, tell her that she must be lighter than you, then ask her to give you Popcorn as a reward for making it through the quiz.
Report back to Xiao Ye and he will tell you that he doesn’t want to have Popcorn breath, so he just wants some regular Corn now.
Fight Macaques until you have one drop a Corn.
Talk to Xiao Ye and he will say that he will flip a coin to decide whether to eat the Corn himself or to give it to Xiao Feng . . . he loses the toss, but still decides to eat it himself. He asks you to talk to Xiao Feng.
Talk to Xiao Feng and you will make up a little fib and tell her that Xiao Ye wants to marry her when he is older. Finally, after you finish talking with Xiao Feng you will complete the quest and receive nice rewards.
24. Mister Omniscient Again
Have another talk with Mister Omniscient. You need to be level 10.
Ask for your reward and take the short quiz to receive a reward.
Also note that because you are level 10 you can go to the Skill Master again and level up 1 or 2 skills depending on your class.
25. Investigating Bandits
Master Xia Mingzi told you to go to the northwest and investigate the reports of bandits in the area. I suggest being at least level 11 before attempting this quest.
You must first talk to Biao the Village Idiot (60,308). He will tell you about Wang Er the Ringleader.
Wang Er the Ringleader tends to appear near Biao, so you should be able to see him if he hasn’t already started attacking you while you were talking with Biao. This is your first boss battle, and just to let you know, the bosses in this game will only get tougher.
Kill Wang Er the Ringleader. You can actually kill him multiple times, because his drop rates are very high so he is good for making some gold and picking up some odds and ends equipment.
After you kill Wang Er the Ringleader, talk with Biao the Village Idiot once again.
Report back to Master Xia Mingzi to complete the quest.
26. Bulls in Love (male) / Sweet Love (female)
This quest is slightly different depending on what gender you chose for your character. It involves Qi Qi (266,215) and Guo Li (457,78). Qi Qi is in the central village while Guo Li is at the ferry. For male characters, you must start the quest by talking to Guo Li. Female characters must start the quest by talking to Qi Qi. I suggest being level 11 at least for the quest. You will be killing Wild Bulls and there will be a countdown timer and you do not get to redo the quest if you fail.
You will be told to talk with the opposite NPC that you started with. The moment you end your conversation with the second NPC, a countdown timer will start.
You must first kill 20 Wild Bulls before the timer reaches 0:00. After you kill 20 Wild Bulls, the timer will give you some more time, and you must then kill an additional 50 Wild Bulls before the timer reaches 0:00. The only classes who can accomplish this task before level 11 are the Wizard and the Priest. Neither of the other 2 classes can do damage quickly enough before level 11 to kill enough Wild Bulls in the limited time you are given.
After you kill the 70 total Wild Bulls, return to the NPC who started your countdown timer (Qi Qi for men, Guo Li for women).
Now return to the first NPC to complete the quest.
27. Deadly Blow to the Head
Master Xia Mingzi tells you to put an end to the bandits in the northwest.
First, you must kill 20 Bandits from that northwest region where you killed Wang Er the Ringleader.
Next, you must kill the Bandit King, who is inside the village in that area, and get his head after he dies. I suggest being level 12 before attempting this, because he is very powerful.
[Hint] If you are playing any class other than Paladin, you can attack from the opposite side of the fence surrounding the village. The Bandit King will come up to the side of the fence but will be unable to attack you. This requires using ranged attacks. Then when he dies, simply go around to the other side of the fence, pick up his head, and leave before anyone spots you. If you are a Paladin, then you will typically have more than enough defense to take on these bosses straight up.
Report back to Xia Mingzi after you have killed the Bandits and have the Bandit King’s head. Again, if you are daring, you can kill the Bandit King multiple times and obtain nice drops from him, as well as nice experience.
28. Chase the Escaped Convict
Talk to Militia Yu Liang (427,262). He is just west of Master Xia Mingzi. He will tell you to kill Escaped Convict Qiu Shi (390,447), who is hiding in the southwest village. This is the most difficult boss in Dongran, so note that unless you are very good with hit and run strategies, or unless you are playing the Paladin character, you should not even attempt this boss until level 13. If you are not confident yet, go and hunt level 8 mobs for awhile and work on increasing the level of your Living Skill. It needs to be at least level 2 before you leave Dongran village.
When you go to kill Escaped Convict Qiu Shi, he will make arm motions and all the bandits on the screen will immediately target you. Along with the fact that he himself is capable of doing massive damage, just know that you should be prepared for a very tough fight. If you can find 2-3 other people to team up with, it is highly suggested to complete this mission with a team. It is possible to complete it solo at level 11 (I have done so a few times) but it takes a lot of talent in being able to hit him while running away.
After you kill him he will drop a lot of gold (and possibly some items). Report to Militia Yu Liang after killing him to complete the quest.
29. Terminate the Rogues
This is the last major mission for you to complete before leaving Dongran village. Doing this mission will insure that you leave with a fair amount of gold in your purse. The mobs for this quest are level 13, so I suggest a minimum level of 12 before attempting this quest.
Talk to the Hunter (292,181) who is just east of Qi Qi. He will tell you to kill as many Rogues as possible in the far northwest corner.
You must kill a grand total of 86 Rogues in order to complete this quest. There is no timer, but the killing is much easier if you are part of a team, and the quest will go by much quicker. The rogues will drop mostly gold, but also have a chance of dropping some equipment, and can also have a very small chance of dropping some rare items like gems that can be put in your socketed equipment (better than the ones you buy from the Alchemist).
Report to the Hunter after you kill all the Rogues you are told to kill and he will reward you with more gold and a green quality weapon.
30. Luoyang, the Capital of Zhou
This is your final farewell to Dongran Village (note that you can come back anytime, and the humanoid bosses from the village are great for farming when you are level 14-16).
Say goodbye to Jing Qiu the Teacher and Elder Sheng Rong and they will give you small rewards.
You must now travel to Luoyang. Go past the Rogues that you fought recently in the northwest and in the far corner you can find a teleportation circle which will take you to Luoyang.
Once in Luoyang, you need to speak with Hong Yu (161,124). He can be easily found if you simply follow the path to the center of the city – he is along that path.
31. Assessing the Situation
Hong Yu tells you tells you what is happening with the states. You must now decide which state to ally yourself with. Talk to Hong Yu again and ask for a specific description of each state. The states are Qin State, Chu State, Qi State, and Zhao state.
Once you have learned about the states, choose a state to ally yourself with and you will be given a quest to see that state’s district magistrate who will be in that state’s capital. That quest is not covered in this guide, as by the time you have started gaining citizenship for a state you should no longer consider yourself a total newbie.
32. Quest for the Five Elements
Finally what you have been anticipating for awhile! You can technically do this quest before finishing the Dongran quests, but I recommend you to be at least level 11, because that is the level of the monsters you will be fighting, and there will be quite a few in total.
The first thing you should do is head over to one of the warehouse managers in the center of Luoyang and have him activate the second page of your backpack. You will need the extra space.
Now head over to the Doctor whom you can find on your map. Buy up a bunch of potions – trust me, you’ll need them. Every class has a potion it uses the most. Make sure you have at least 30 of that potion (MP/HP potions are what I am talking about).
Okay, time to start this quest up. Head over to An Qisheng (296,180) who is east southeast from the center of town and strike up a conversation.
Tell him you want to enter the Five Elements Palace. He will teleport you there and you will find him standing near you in this new map. The Five Elements Palace does not have a visible map, but you start out in what is approximately the far east southeast side. There are bridges to different island which all have different monsters of different elements.
Talk with An Qisheng to begin your quest here.
Your first objective is to kill Porcupines, which can be found in the southeast, in order to obtain a Metal Key.
Once you have a Metal Key, head as far to the northwest as possible. You will be in an area inhabited by Lizards. There is a separate island that has no bridge further northwest. You must jump to the island (remember jumping from the Scaring the Knave quest?).
Once on the island you’ll see 5 treasure chests. You can use the Metal Key to open the Wood Chest and obtain the Wood Book.
Now you must kill Wild Bulls in the northeast to get a Wood Key and use that to open the Earth Chest.
Next kill Wild Boars in the southwest to get an Earth Key and open the Water Chest.
Next kill Lizards in the north to get a Water Key and open the Fire Chest.
Finally, kill Macaques in the west to get a Fire Key and open the Metal Chest.
When you are done, return to An Qisheng in the southeast and talk to him to teleport to a new small map that has 5 altars.
Go to the Metal Altar and offer the Earth Book as a sacrifice.
Go to the Water Altar and offer the Metal Book as a sacrifice.
Go to the Wood Altar and offer a Water Book as a sacrifice.
Go to the Fire Altar and offer a Wood Book as a sacrifice.
Finally, go to the Earth Altar and offer a Fire Book as a sacrifice.
On the east side of the chamber there is a Teleportation Stone. Use that to return to An Qisheng.
It is now time to pick your element. Before you speak with An Qisheng, the first thing you should do is take a look at your skills window. Look through your available major skills and note which element belongs to each skill. This will be 1 of the 2 reasons for your elemental choice. Find the skills that you think will be most useful to you.
Next, talk with An Qisheng. You should ask him what each of the elements will do for you if you choose them. Metal will increase your attack power, making your attacks do more damage. Wood will increase your HP and your HP regeneration rate. Water will increase your MP and your MP regeneration rate. Fire will increase your attack speed and your movement speed. Earth will increase your total defense, so attacks will do less damage to you.
The time has finally come. Choose an element and know that in all likeliness you will be stuck with your decision for the rest of the life of your character.
33. Elemental Magic
Well, you have an elemental attribute now, but how about an elemental spell? That is what this quest is for. Ask An Qisheng to send you to the Elemental Fairy Realm.
Near the center of the small map you will appear on is You Huan the Immortal. Talk with him to begin your quest.
You Huan the Immortal will ask you to kill monsters in each of the Elemental Fairy Realms. Killing these monsters gains you elemental experience for the element of the monster you are killing. This is needed in order to learn the skills of your element. Therefore, it is highly suggested that the first realm you pick be the one that is the same as your element.
Kill 10 Verdant Beasts in Metal Fairy Realm.
Kill 10 Chromatic Birds in Wood Fairy Realm.
Kill 10 Finned Tortoises in Water Fairy Realm.
Kill 10 Battle Apes in Fire Fairy Realm.
Kill 10 Mountain Furies in Earth Fairy Realm.
All of the monsters on the list are level 11 and they can all be found near the starting portal of their specific realm.
Talk to You Huan the Immortal after defeating all 50 monsters, and he will reward you very nicely with much elemental experience points, which would be difficult to attain through normal methods.
Congratulations! You now have a direction to head toward in Phoenix Dynasty Online! You have obtained you Major Element, have probably reached level 13 by this point, and are headed off on your way to joining 1 of the 4 great states! Have fun!
