I. Introduction

Well, to start out, let’s go over simple controls.

V = skills

B = backpack

C = character

Q = quests

M = map

F = available titles and other statistics

F1-F12 and #1-9 can all be used as hotkeys for items and skills.

You can also set a certain spells to the right click for the mouse.

Click and hold the left click to move about. Left click monsters to target them. Double click to do a basic frontal assault. Hit a hotkey to use a skill.

After learning the Leap skill, you can jump across rivers and other spaces by holding down Ctrl and left clicking the spot you desire to jump to.

When looking at the map, you can hold down the right click to move the map and see all the available areas.

The element system works off of a basic one element works well against another and poorly against yet another. There are 5 elements: wood, earth, water, metal, and fire.

Metal does more damage to Wood and less to Water.

Water does more damage to Fire and less to Wood.

Wood does more damage to Earth and less to Fire.

Fire does more damage to Metal and less to Earth.

Earth does more damage to Water and less to Metal.

If you are planning on becoming powerful in this game, you will need to memorize those 5 lines. It is not difficult to memorize them, but it is necessary to do so. Additionally, in order to gain new skills for your elements, there are 2 things you must do. First, you must fight monsters of your same element in order to gain elemental experience. It is elemental experience and character level that determine whether you are able to learn a skill, so finding monsters of your same element is important if you want to be able to learn more skills. Additional, you can go to the Elemental Fairy Realms (explained later in the guide) where you can find each Fairy Realm has only a certain element of monster. The other important thing to do is to hunt monsters whom you are weak against. Monsters will drop skill tomes of the element that is weak to them. So in order to find Fire tomes, you would have to hunt Water monsters. Finding the tomes is not easy, because their drop rates are low, but they are the only way to increase the power of your current skills and gain new skills for your element.

You’ll appear in Dongran village, the newbie area. The weakest monsters, tortoises and rabbits, are to the north and southeast. You will first want to talk with the man standing under the big tree in the center of the village to receive your first quest.

II. The Quests

This section is devoted to all of the quests through the elemental quest that allows you to choose which element you wish to associate yourself with. The quests are listed in the order that I personally suggest taking them, but many of the quests can be fulfilled in the order of your choosing. Note that the map in the game is tilted so that what appears to be north is actually northeast. In this guide, if I say that something is to the north, what I mean is that it is toward the very top of the screen, so note that when I speak of directions, I do not use a tilted compass like the in-game map. So without any further ado:

1. Fabled Origin

-Talk to Jing Qiu the Teacher (207,240) to receive this first quest of the game.

-He will ask you to obtain 3 rabbit legs. Rabbits can be found to the north of the north of the village at location (134,193). While hunting the rabbits, note that the turtles in the region are also level 1, so you can also fight them. I suggest using this time to get acquainted with the fighting system and attempt to reach level 2 before reporting back to Jing Qiu the Teacher.

-While fighting, you will find items that are materials for creating other items. You should probably sell ones that do not have any properties, but anything that has properties or that has a blue or green name should be held onto for later use in creating equipment. While in Dongran, it is better to leave equipment creating to a minimum, due to the fact that you will receive a set of equipment that has great bonuses if worn all together, so creating new equipment will not be necessary until you are getting ready to leave Dongran. Equipment creation will also be explained later on in this guide. Note that when I talk of equipment creation, I mean paying NPC’s to create your equipment. Once you have your Living Skill (explained later) you should create things every time you have enough materials to do so.

-Once you have the rabbit legs, report back to Jing Qiu the Teacher, who will give you a reward for completing the mission.
