1. ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION (safety glasses or a face shield).
2. READ and understand instruction MANUAL BEFORE OPERATING SANDER.
3. If you are not thoroughly familiar with the operation of the drill press, OBTAIN ADVICE from your supervisor, instructor or other qualified person.
4. MAKE SURE WIRING codes and recommended electrical connections are followed and that machine is properly grounded.
5. DO NOT OPERATE while UNDER the INFLUENCE of drugs, alcohol and medication.
6. REMOVE any LOOSE CLOTHING like ties, rings, watches, jewelry and Roll up sleeves.
7. MAKE all ADJUSTMENTS with the POWER OFF.
8. NEVER WEAR GLOVES or hold the work with a rag when drilling
9. DO NOT DRILL PIECES of material that are TOO SMALL to be safely supported.
10. ALWAYS CLEAN AREA by removing scrap pieces and other objects from the table, before turning the machine on.
11. NEVER PERFORM LAYOUT, assembly or set-up work on the table while the DRILL is ON.
12. HOLD the WORK FIRMLY when drilling. (Provide additional support and clamp if necessary)
13. ALWAYS TURN the machine OFF and disconnect the cord from the power source before installing or removing accessories.
14. SHUT OFF power and CLEAN the drill and work area before leaving
15. AVOID AWKWARD HAND POSTIONS where a sudden slip could cause a hand to move into the drill.
16. NEVER LEAVE the machine work AREA WHEN the power is ON or before the, machine has come to a complete stop.
17. DISCONNECT machine from power source when making REPAIRS.
18. ONE OPERATOR using machine at a time.
19. This drill is intended for INDOOR USE only.
20. GUARDS should be IN PLACE and used at all times.
21. DON'T FORCE TOOL. It will do the job better and be safer at the rate for which it was designed.
22. PROTECT YOUR EARS. Wear proper hearing protection.
23. CLAMP WORK to table if it is too short to contact the column. Hold the material securely with a vise or clamps. (when using hole saw or
cut-ting tools larger than 1/2-diameter)
24. DO NOT EXCEED recommended SPEED for the drill, accessory, and work piece material.
25. REMOVE CHUCK KEY from the chuck before starting drill press.
26. ADJUST the table or depth stop to avoid drilling into the table.
27. BE SURE drill bit or cutting tool is securely locked in the chuck.
