Introduction
Everyone stand up.
Sit down if:
You have ever been ignored?
You have ever had a friend talk behind your back?
You have ever done something to get attention?
You have ever had someone say “I love you”?
When I was in HS and still to this day –
Do I matter? Do you like me?
What can I do to make me be liked?
Advertisers play us – they play on this.
Where is the Love Video
Personal Story
Played basketball – freshman year try outs are really hard
I am a bubble kid – if I do really good, I can make the team…
Get cut and I start to wonder if my friends will still like me
Jerk to people!
Jesus
Jesus deals with people all the time who are battling themselves
Mark 10:46
Blind Beggar – what stands about this?
Have everyone stand and close their eyes…
Have them duck, jump, walk left and right, etc… get used to “being” blind

Message
Mark 10:46 ¶ Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (that is, the Son of Timaeus), was sitting by the roadside begging.
Mark 10:47 When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Mark 10:48 ¶ Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Mark 10:49 ¶ Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” ¶ So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.”
Mark 10:50 Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.
Mark 10:51 ¶ “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. ¶ The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”
Mark 10:52 ¶ “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
Mark 10:46 ¶ They spent some time in Jericho. As Jesus was leaving town, trailed by his disciples and a parade of people, a blind beggar by the name of Bartimaeus, son of Timaeus, was sitting alongside the road.
Mark 10:47 When he heard that Jesus the Nazarene was passing by, he began to cry out, “Son of David, Jesus! Mercy, have mercy on me!”
Mark 10:48 Many tried to hush him up, but he yelled all the louder, “Son of David! Mercy, have mercy on me!”
Mark 10:49 ¶ Jesus stopped in his tracks. “Call him over.” ¶ They called him. “It’s your lucky day! Get up! He’s calling you to come!”
Mark 10:50 Throwing off his coat, he was on his feet at once and came to Jesus.
Mark 10:51 ¶ Jesus said, “What can I do for you?” ¶ The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”
Mark 10:52 ¶ “On your way,” said Jesus. “Your faith has saved and healed you.” ¶ In that very instant he recovered his sight and followed Jesus down the road
