pillar el Billete Japan Rail antes de ir, lo amortizas en un par de viajes y es muy util

Las islas del sur estan muy bien

Hokkaido es bonito, es campo, notas como no hay tanta densidad (menos un poquito en sapporo)
de la zona de kansai, visites kyoto y sobretodo NARA ..es la antigua antigua capital de japon y tiene el buda sedente mas grande que te puedas imaginar..con su sonrisa bonachona y sus kamis protegiendole..
para dormir...me saque el carnet de alberguista... y soli conseguir plazas, tambien podeis acabar en las capsules hotel aunq tu q eres alto, pide q te lo enseñen a ver si cabes dentro...(son muy confortables y esta muy bien par dormir)
a la hora de estar en un albergue o en cualquier lado, suele haber baños comunes, estos son para mas comodida y relajo ,.asiiq como en ranma..ponte a buscar la manera de ver el baño de las chicas!!XD
por cierto, a la hora de comer!! vas a gozar...por apenas 1000yenes (para los estomagos hambrientos, si no es menos) puedes comer muuy bien, casi en cualquier parte...

te recomiendo las tiendas de Raamen, que es sopa con fideos finos.. los fideos mas gordos son Udon!
si qieres sushi y no dejarte una pasta...buscar los kaiten shushi, tiendas donde puedes comer muy bien, y pagas por el numero de platos, estos giran en una cinta transportadora y tu los cojes...

(http://www.xanga.com/ytadaki/) For cherry blossoms this year, I took a day off of work on Monday and went to see the cherry blossoms in Kyoto. The place I went to is called Arashiyama which translates directly into Storm Mountain (or, Mount Storm. That sounds cooler I think). It was pretty late in the season so the cherry flowers were beginning to fall and turn green.

Kioto mantiene fuerte la tradición de las geishas, y dos de los más prestigiosos y tradicionales distritos de geishas, Gion y Pontochō, están en esa ciudad. en la isla de Hokkaido, a 90 min de tokyo en avion (Aeropuerto Haneda) Llegas a Chitose y pillas un tren JR hasta Sapporo en 35 Min. Tambien hay un tren nocturno.

The nightlife there was pretty good too. The city was way bigger than Kobe.

En Japón nuestros carnets de conducir no valen. Las señales de trafico están en Japo asi que no dejan a los occidentales conducir a no ser que tengan una carta firmada de sus padres.

The rail system is wonderfully efficient and quick. The larger stations have bilingual signs but the ticket vending machines don't understand English although one spoke to me in English. If you are going to be in an area for a time it would probably be wise to get a JR rail pass voucher through your travel agent before you go. They give you unlimited travel while they are current. Rail travel can be expensive.

Caveats

Electricity: Electrical current is 220 volts, 60Hz. Two-pin flat blade attachments and two-pin round plugs are used.

Health: No special vaccination certificates are required, except by travellers entering the Philippines from an area infected with yellow fever. Dengue fever is a risk throughout the country; the best prevention is to avoid mosquito bites. Medical care is good in the major cities, although very expensive, however it is limited in the remoter areas. Comprehensive medical insurance is advised.
Tipping: Tipping is expected for most services. The standard practice is 10% of the total bill. Tipping is optional on bills that already include a 10% service charge.
Safety: Safety and security should be of paramount concern to any visitor to the Philippines. It is vital to be fully informed of threats and developments regarding crime, terrorism and kidnapping before and during a visit to the islands. Vigilance is vital throughout the islands, particularly in Manila, as opportunistic crimes are motivated by circumstances of poverty. Extremist groups have a history of kidnapping foreign tourists, and terrorist bombings have occurred in Manila and Mindanao, targeting transport and public places. Recent explosions in Mindanao have killed and injured many people. Security has been increased across southern Philippines, and many foreign governments have issued warnings against travelling to Mindanao. Terrorist groups have also threatened to attack passenger ferries and other vessels, particularly those operating from Mindanao. The threat of terrorism and kidnapping is greatest in central, southern and western Mindanao, Basilan, Tawi Tawi, Jolo and the Sulu archipelago; the FCO, US Department of State and other governments advise against all travel to these areas, and care should also be taken in Palawan and at coastal resorts and tourist centres throughout. There is a high incidence of piracy and armed robbery against ships in and around Philippine waters, and a risk of kidnappings at sea. It is believed that terrorists are continuing with plans to kidnap foreigners from the islands and coastal areas in southern Philippines, putting all boats travelling to and from offshore islands in the Mindanao and the Sulu archipelago, as well as at dive sites at great risk. An increase in volcanic activity at the Bulusan volcano in Sorsogon Province and the Kanlaon volcano in Negros Oriental Province indicates that eruptions could be imminent. Permanent Danger Zones have been established around the summits in case of sudden explosions, and travellers should avoid the areas. People have also been advised to stay away from Mayon volcano in Albay Province for the time being. The area is prone to typhoons between July and November, when flooding and landslides can occur.
Customs: The concept of 'shame' is very important in Filipino culture and visitors should avoid offending or embarrassing anyone in public. Failure to live up to accepted standards of behaviour will bring shame not only on themselves, but also on their family. Any food or drink offered should be accepted, as this is a sign of hospitality.
Communications: The international access code for the Philippines is +63. The outgoing code is 00 followed by the relevant country code (e.g. 001 for the United States). City/area codes are in use, e.g. (0)2 for Manila. The major towns, cities and popular tourist spots are covered by GSM 900 and 1800 mobile phone networks. Internet cafes are available in Manila and the tourist resorts.

(Que puto asco..)Eat Manila street food. Philippine street food is everywhere, but I highly recommend the street food in the UP campus. It taste excellent. Try your fare of “Betamax” (blood clots), “Addidas” (chicken Feet), “Isaw” (chicken intestines), and of course, the king of all street food “Balot” (boiled duck embryo). (Manila=Cagalera)Eat some “dirty ice-cream.” Men go around the city pushing their decorated ice-cream carts and ringing their bells. Its made with coconut milk and its called “dirty” for a reason, but the taste will make you feel like a kid again. For the truly adventurous, ask them to mix queso (cheese) and chocolate.

(puto asco) Go to the street markets in Bangkok, Thailand. Pick out anything you don't recognize as food and chomp away. I recommend the fried bamboo worms and butterfly cocoons.
