Dear Friends in Faith,
Welcome to our worship service this morning. Last Sunday was the third week of Advent: the week to consider God’s LOVE for all persons on the earth. This week, the fourth week of Advent is Peace. As we await the Prince of Peace, take some precious moments this week to consider the LOVE that God has for you: “for you are fearfully and wonderfully made” and the incredible Peace of Christ: “the Peace that passes all understanding.”
May the light of Christ shine within you, Pastor Deborah

2008 God’s Creation Calendars are here!
Please accept this gift from the Deacons. You can pick them up outside the office. (1 per family)
Christmas cards can be shared with your church family by posting them on the hallway bulletin board.
We are circulating a "prayer journal" among you over the next few weeks -- in order to collect prayers and encouragements that will be forwarded on to our military troops on your behalf. We will send these prayer journals to the UCC home office by Tuesday, January 15, where they will be blessed during weekly worship in the Amistad Chapel on Wednesday, January 16. They will then be shipped to our UCC military chaplains serving in Iraq. The troops should receive them during the season of Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 6. What a great way to bridge these two major seasons of the church year with prayers of peace, love and goodwill!
If you would like to have someone on our Prayer List please fill out a pew card (include your name) and put the card in the collection plate.
Let us pray for our families, World Leaders, those serving in the military, those who have served our country and have been wounded, those suffering from cancer, those recovering from operations, those recovering from trauma or accidents, those who suffer from alienation or ill-will, those who don’t have enough to eat, and those who need work.
