Dear friends,
Thank you for the beautiful knitted hats for babies at Strong Memorial Hospital. They will be put to very good use. Our young patients and staff appreciate your generosity and hard work.
Sincerely, Susan Sullivan, Friends of Strong
Dear Friends,
Welcome to our worship service today. This is an exciting in our church as we ponder together how God has called us. In the sermon today, we look at how two very famous mothers were called by God and how they responded in gratitude. Both of them burst into song! Do we? When we realize that God wants us to do something - do we sing out a song of Thanksgiving? Let us study their stories together and learn and grow from their experiences. Christ's Peace be with you.
Blessings, Pastor Deborah
Reminder: NO DECEMBER meetings
Let us affirm the JOY of Advent by having as few (or no!) meetings as we possibly can.
There will be a spaghetti dinner tomorrow, Nov. 12th, from 4 to 8 pm at Leisure's Restaurant. All donations will go to the Katie fund. Katie Jane Headley was 3 months old on Oct 11th when she was diagnosed with retinoblastoma. Her prognosis is good but she still faces more surgery and chemotherapy.
(See bulletin board for flyer.)
If you would like to have someone on our Prayer List, please fill out a pew card, and include your name. You may then put the card in the collection plate.
Let us pray for our families, World Leaders, those serving in the military, those who have served our country and have been wounded, those suffering from cancer, those recovering from operations, those recovering from trauma or accidents, those who suffer from alienation or ill-will, those who don’t have enough to eat, and those who need work. We also pray for Linda Wert, recently deployed to Iraq; for all those affected by the fires in California; the Wissler family.
