Today is “Celebrate the New York Conference of the UCC” day! We have a special dialog sermon that Steve and I have prepared and there are litanies found in your bulletin. We are blessed to have such a wonderful denomination, and such a faithful conference and association. Join us for the big party in the fellowship after the service!

September Mission is Livonia Food Pantry!
Livonia Parish Pantry Update...what a difference the food cupboard will be enjoying! So far you have filled 4 grocery carts with non perishable and cleaning supplies. We're going for full Grocery Cart #5 today! You also have contributed $461.30 so far to help with the purchase of dairy, meat and eggs, and several people have volunteered to help with the packing/ delivering of food to people in need. Volunteers also needed!!
Did you know? 10.5% of New York households have lower quality diets or must resort to emergency food because they cannot always afford the food they need.
As usual we can use all available help to help set-up for our famous "Bargain" & Bake Sale! Bring a dish to pass & enjoy our luncheon as we take a break from the work. We will be setting up from 10 am to
2 pm Monday thru Thursday, this week, and Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 pm. Let Mary Lou Spencer know if you can make any goodies for the bake sale.
The sign-up list to host Social Hour following worship each Sunday is posted on the hallway bulletin board. Please help keep our weekly tradition going! It's easy to do, especially if you team up with another person/couple. For healthy snacks (like fruit and vegetables), we still have money from a Noyes grant for reimbursement. If you have questions, please see Rhonda Wert.
The Geneseo United Methodist Church is sponsoring their Annual Harvest Dinner on October 6th from 4:30 to 7 pm. The dinner consists of Pot Roast, potatoes, broccoli-cauliflower medley, salad bar, rolls, beverage, and assorted desserts. The price of a dinner is $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for students and children under 4 are free. The Women's Boutique table will be set up for your shopping pleasure. Seasonal item will be available. Child care will be provided.
MACVITTIE THEOLOGY LECTURE AT SUNY GENESEO'S UNION BALLROOM
On Friday October 12th, Dr. William Placher of Wabash College will be offering the free lecture,
"Who Cares About the Trinity?" at 7:30 PM. Lecture is FREE. A banquet buffet dinner will be held at 6:00 PM in the Union for those interested. Cost for dinner is $20 per person and reservations can be made by calling 243-1460 or by e-mailing: sauter@geneseo.edu. Free Saturday workshop with Dr. Placher, "Vocation: What Could It Mean to Be Called by God?" Reservations required for workshop.

St. Timothy Lutheran Church is holding a service of song, prayer, and laying on of hands for the health of body and soul on Saturday, October 13th at 11:00 am. All are invited. There will be refreshments following the service.
The installation of the Rev. Kim Cran will take place Sunday, October 21st at 4 pm at the United Church of Warsaw. Your presence and prayers are requested to join in this service.
Remember Tim Myer? (He preached here Memorial Day week-end.) He has been called to Durand UCC. (Keep David Gregory in your prayers. He is being interviewed out of the area.)
If you would like to have someone on our Prayer List, please fill out a pew card, and include your name. You may then put the card in the collection plate.
Let us pray for our families, World Leaders, those serving in the military, those who have served our country and have been wounded, those suffering from cancer, those recovering from operations, those recovering from trauma or accidents, those who suffer from alienation or ill-will, those who don’t have enough to eat and those who need work.
