Production Support
Intimately involved in identifying real time production issues to figure out and implement practical solutions without compromising on deisgn principles. Received appreciation for fast insightful diagnosis and resolution.
UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY May 2006 – Feb 2008
Web Administrator
USU Ecology Center
Managed and maintained Ecology Center's official website and web server(IIS). Responsibilities included website development, design changes, content updates as well ensuring 24 hour up time on the web server.
UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY May 2006 – Feb 2008
Graduate Assistant
USU Ecology Center
Successfully executed integration of Ecological Data from D-Base and SQL into a single functional SQL database. Developed data mining software in C# & ADO.Net to enable 'click and retrieve' ability for efficiently querying large scale SQL Data. Implemented rapid statistical re-sampling for Ecological Data.
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
UTAH STATE UNIVERISTY Jan 2006 – Feb 2008
Research Assistant
Active GPS Navigation
Developed a cost and time efficient GPS Navigation system for guiding blind students on campus, system is capable of testing on simulated campus routes as well as real time walks. Successfully applied Machine Learning and Statistical Analysis methods to achieve effective real time GPS localization. Development in C# and Java.
Computer Vision and Clustering
Successfully implemented clustering approach using automated k-means and improved the algorithm for better clustering results. Implemented original and innovative concept of extrinsic scatter to lend additional leverage to k-means clustering. Developed in Java.
Data Mining and Visualization
Developed and implemented elegant visualization algorithms for representing large scale unstructured data using design inspirations from fractal geometry. Implemented real time graphical animation to display the algorithm's effectiveness. Developed in Java.
MUMBAI UNIVERISTY, Mumbai, India. Aug 2000 – May 2004
Research Assistant
Neural Network Engine
Developed a back propagation based Neural Network Engine in C++. Successfully tested the engine on various AI problems like classification and function approximation. Successfully used the Neural Network Engine to implement supervised learning navigation for a software robot. Implemented dynamic learning rate for back-propagation to achieve faster convergence.
