A Word from the Pastor

Dear Friends in Faith,

Liz and I would like to thank everyone for the many generous Christmas gifts that we received. We are truly blessed. And as your pastor, I thank everyone who contributed to my pastor’s gift. I want to thank you most of all for your “presence” in my life. I am truly blessed.

May the light of Christ shine within you, Pastor Deborah

Prayer Journal for Our Troops

We are circulating a "prayer journal" among you over the next few weeks -- in order to collect prayers and encouragements that will be forwarded on to our military troops on your behalf. We will send these prayer journals to the UCC home office by Tuesday, January 15, where they will be blessed during weekly worship in the Amistad Chapel on Wednesday, January 16. They will then be shipped to our UCC military chaplains serving in Iraq. The troops should receive them during the season of Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 6. What a great way to bridge these two major seasons of the church year with prayers of peace, love and goodwill!

Prayer List

If you would like to have someone on our Prayer List please fill out a pew card (include your name) and put the card in the collection plate.

Let us pray for our families, World Leaders, those serving in the military, those who have served our country and have been wounded, those suffering from cancer, those recovering from operations, those recovering from trauma or accidents, those who suffer from alienation or ill-will, those who don’t have enough to eat, and those who need work.
